Wasn't all of the optional gear in the first game part of treasure hunts that you had to locate using the clues on the map and dig up? If that's all it is, I don't care at all. I didn't even bother with most of that stuff since, at best, it just makes the economy easier.

If the "unique questline" is actually a full, fleshed out quest -- and it's never made available to people who don't pre-order -- then that's gay.

So... on a scale from 1 to

, how excited is our focus group feeling about an exclusive questline only available to players who pre-order our game?

just as Oblivion did by introducing the infamous horse armor, I feel like KCD II might usher in the next era of :decline:
KCD1 had the same thing with the "Treasures of the Past" DLC. Gave you a bunch of treasure maps to find a cool armor set. You could purchase it separately after launch for like $4, and it was included in the Complete Edition.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
I dislike quests like these. Deck you in OP gear, leaving you to wonder for the rest of the game what you could possibly spend your money on.
Well armor as well as weapons have stat requirements so if you get it too early you probably wouldn't be able to wear it anyway.

At least it's locked behind a quest, you can get the OP armor in KCD1 just by following the crude maps (or watching a video).

The Warhorse armor parts in KCD had no requirement (or so low I could wear it right when I found them), and were so good it is only in the late game I started to find better parts. It was disappointing, since I didn't know about it when I started the game.

It's gonna be a big success, already entering top 10
IIRC the first game was No. 1 for a couple of days before and after the launch and it's clear as day it's not gonna be different for KCD2.

That said I did NOT expect the game selling so well a whole month before the launch, holy crap.

Been saying since this game first got revealed that there was very real possibility of the existence of African/Arab traders/travelers in this game, especially with Kuttenberg being the wealthy trade hub that it was. As long as the game gives proper context and justification, this is fine.
