The Outer Worlds has Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky involved, they are not perfect but they have proven some level of competency. Without their involvement I somehow doubt Avowed will be as "good".

Means absolutely nothing, cause we know that Josh Sawyer got mind broken by the failure of PoE 2 and his involvement in Avowed is tenuous.

To think i'd miss Josh Sawyer. I tried twice to finish PoE because it's so boring but even the most self-indulgent tripe from an old dev is better than this nu-shit. PoE was boring but it wasn't slop.

Even Tolkien wrote a strong female mage with Galadriel and a strong female fighter with Eowyn. Just do it without creating a Mary Sue...

Galadriel is a loyal wife and mother. Her magic is subtle like all magic in the LOTR and she destroys the walls of Dol Guldur in the epilogue. Eowyn married Faramir and became a healer, leaving behind her legacy of shieldmaiden of Rohan.

Please try to keep up with the times. Galadriel is a badass warrior and a tru grllllboss, haven't seen her husband for millenia, daughter not mentioned. Currently, she mostly thirsts for Sauron.

Fortunately now we have a much better, modernaudienced shieldmaiden of Rohan in Hera, who never married and until her last day stayed a warrior and very much a maiden too.
