1-Dark atmosphere, quests, small but alive hand crafted open world and of course Herr Mannelig performance by in Extremo.What I wanna understand from you guys is;
- What specific features or elements from the original game are you most hoping to see preserved in the remake?
- Any modern gaming mechanics/tropes or design elements you think could enhance the Gothic experience?
- What are your biggest fears about this remake?
- How do you think the remake should handle the original’s notorious difficulty curve?
Leave as is. Don't change for "broader appeal among audience". Millions play Elden Ring btw.How do you think the remake should handle the original’s notorious difficulty curve?
Iirc the only parts I had trouble with on my first run (a few years ago) were:

Magic being good, and each faction handling it a bit differently. Different attack animations at different skill levels, and skill training being diegetic are also must haves.

Gothic has very dated controls and interface. I think the game could also benefit from some kind of faster movement option than jogging.

Also, are you even associated with the game in any way?
I'm not slavic enough to like a game with broken controls, but do they still have this ipainting with naked girls?

Pretty sure the first thing they did was eliminating everything than can be offensive to wombyn in this fag of a remake. So no bathing Velaya, no hotties scrubbing floors at Gomez's crib, no sexy drawings etc.
Also controls are not bad when you get used to them, give original games a try.
Old Camp Barons are in control of the largest mine in the valley so they get whatever they want including ocasional cocksleeve or two.they dropped the women into the Zone along with the other supplies.
It plays fine with a gamepad. The first game especially. Also ok with just the keyboard, without touching the mouse.I'm not slavic enough to like a game with broken controls, but do they still have this ipainting with naked girls?
If they even added anything so fucking stupid as this, fuck this shit, I'm out.100% this means over9000 female characters added to the game, they'll either retcon the whole "women are only sex slaves" thing, and just add them randomly everywhere as equals, or they will keep the slave thing, but sanitized and toned down (no sexual references, they just clean), while adding a new girlboss camp and a 4th path through the game letting you ally with them and own teh old camp patriarchy.
Every single one of them. What specific features or elements from the original game are you most hoping to see preserved in the remake?
No.Any modern gaming mechanics/tropes or design elements you think could enhance the Gothic experience?
Literally any changes made other than enhanced textures while keeping the original feel or making the faction choice matter more to the ending (i.e. more C&C) is a mistake. What are your biggest fears about this remake?
The difficulty curve was perfect and both Gothic & Gothic 2 let you figure out ways to do things way out of your level. Leave it.How do you think the remake should handle the original’s notorious difficulty curve?
