  • Added documents to Extras to reveal where restorations originated.
  • Attached floor number to Empire Arms suite names in hotel computer.
  • Fixed three wrong loop sounds and moved a Mandarin line elsewhere.
  • Corrected some bug fixes that were lost in 8.9, thanks vladdmaster.
  • Restored blast door to Giovanni crypt and fixed tutorial door bug.
  • Improved Nosferatu Nines intro and map details, thanks vladdmaster.
  • Fixed sewer sound transitions on SM, Hollywood and Chinatown hubs.
  • Corrected two bad Lotus Blossom icons and lowered Skyeline humming.
How much longer will he go on? I'd make a joke about how this is like the "vampire of mods", but unfortunately RPS beat me to the punch.

Is patching Bloodlines a lifestyle choice or something? I could have swore we hit the final final a year ago.

It seems like his favourite hobby. Everyone has one. And thanks to Wesp, Bloodlines finally became a stable and bugfree game, like it should be.

I suppose so, but I feel like we should have an intervention, like with plastic surgery junkies.

Some of the Infinity Engine and Fallout patches have probably been in development longer than this has, tbh

Nice! Haven't played Bloodlines since patch 8.7 or so. Should give it another go and check out all the changes.

TBH my both playthrougs so far were with Tessera's patch, since Wesp's was borked at the time (tutorial was impossible to complete).

If everyone had hobbies as useful as this guy's, we'd live in a post-scarcity society.

The really crazy thing is that Wesp isn't even a VtM fan. It's specifically Bloodlines he cares about, no outside nerdery required. That's some hardcore devotion.

although I have to say after that retrospective from a while back the general unnecessary "ladies are sex machines" tone of the game has bothered me a little more. I have to shut off my anemic social justice lobe during some conversations. can a lobe be anemic umm underpowered w/e

To be fair we'll never have another game like VTMB again so he may as well spend some freetime polishing what can be polished. Not like his time can be better spent elsewhere-- do we need more Skyrim nudity mods or TF2 hats at this point? It is a noble thing to patch a masterpiece this old.

Anyone else has a problem with widescreen? I mean it's nothing serious, just that the game is somewhat weirdly stretched, especially in cutscenes. I haven't played it for a while but I don't remember anything like that before...

I think that Obsidian should definitely hire Wesp if the planets align at some point and CCP gives them the rights to work on a single player WOD game.

Or do what all decent vampire beans do and replay it every time he releases an update.

I noticed the widescreen mod didn't work for 16:10 resolutions. When I got a 16:9 monitor I finally managed to get it to work, but the interface is still stretched.

Is this patch the proper way to play it nowadays?

I'd say so. Some people might tell you to stay away from the plus version because it changes things (I don't mind these changes myself, though), but if nothing else, install the bug fixes. There's no reason not to.

Also, how much time does he spend simply writing these patch notes in order to make it so the line length alternates by one character all the time?

Code:
Added Heather to sewers for Nosferatu and improved new idle sounds.
Made stealth killing Johnny possible when using Obfuscate level 5.
Added possibility to keep the quick Nosferatu in the warrens alive.
Cleaned Mercurio's apartment after a time and fixed a SM map hole.
Added seven missing infobar sounds and created seven infobar icons.
Restored drug stealing quest of Trip for one XP and Finance bonus.
Removed Blood Guardian waterspray and made Lily's purse unsellable.
Fixed bug with casting Bloodbuff breaking off lockpicking attempt.
Raised high firearms book requirement to 9 and updated travel maps.
Made Hallowbrook atrium barrels solid and enemies navigate better.
Restored Justicar to Camarilla ending and Jack's face for LaSombra.
Moved fire axe to crashing elevator top and fatguy to atrium exit.
Restored unused models to Society of Leopold, warehouse and Zhao's.
Changed library to combat zone and fixed rotunda decal flickering.

Well, I played and finished the game with Wesp's patches twice, and did not encounter any bugs worth mentioning.
I also played it and finished it once without it, and had to use console in order to be able to finish it.
So Wesp is awesome. I still haven't played my Malk playthrough, so I have that to look forward to. I will probably wait for West to get to 10.0 and then start it.

Also, I really wish CCP or Actard, or whoever owns the license for this, gave it to Obsidian + Double Bear and fund proper true first/third person singleplayer only sequel, taking place in the same universe with at least some of the same characters. I would play the shit out of this.

I am using it on 1680x1050 and it works just fine..
