How is it incline? I thought this would be like NFSU2 but it seems to be "inspired" by games like Wangan Midnight / Tokyo Extreme Racer, which are highway traffic dodging simulators, degenerate straight line racing.

How is it incline?
- nice sense of speed
- tight controls
- extensive customization
- campgain with interesting ideas
- cool music
- enthralling atmosphere and aesthetics
- free

yeah... totally not incline for a game still in early stages of development to already be this well realised, specially in a genre that has been on life support for 10+ years

It's called prologue, so one would assume it's a demo.

The sense of speed is only there when you have the shaky cam and motion blur, when you're driving at 120kmh it feels like 40.
I have no idea what the fuck "tight controls" are supposed to mean, I did not experience anything to write home about, except maybe the fact that the game did not recognize the analogs of my DInput controller correctly, and the UI in general is awful.
Customization is nice, but also indicates the dev has his priorites misplaced at this stage.
What interesting ideas are there? From what I've seen this is a clone of the games I mentioned.
Music is mediocre, and the aesthetic is "brown and blurry", if you think that's cool then that's on you.

There's also the pretty solid sound fx and the way the car becomes harder to control

Exactely what it means
Customization is nice, but also indicates the dev has his priorites misplaced at this stage.
And why is that?
Considering the "marketing" it seems to me he has his priorities straigth
What interesting ideas are there?
The way it's presented and how the player interacts with the world, there's potential here
Music is mediocre, and the aesthetic is "brown and blurry"
That's like... your opinion man :smug:

Tried the new TDU demo, but it's literally unplayable on my PC, I got 20FPS on lowest settings with 50% GPU and 35% CPU usage.

It's alright by the time you get around to upgrading your machine the game won't be playable anymore anyways.

Forza Horizon 4 is being delisted later this year.

The open-world racing game, which was originally released in October 2018, will be delisted from the Microsoft Store and Steam on December 15, 2024 due to the expiry of licensing agreements (most likely mainly related to car brands or in-game music).

The game’s DLC is being delisted today, meaning the only way new players can get the game’s two expansions (Fortune Island and Lego Speed Champions) is by purchasing the Ultimate Edition of the game.

Players who own the game and its additional content after it’s delisted on December 15 will still have it in their library, meaning they’ll still be able to download and play it as normal.

All the game’s offline, online and multiplayer features will remain active after it’s delisted, and physical copies played after December 15 will still work as normally too.

The game will be getting discounted leading up to its delisting. It’s currently 80% off on Steam, meaning the Standard Edition is $11.99 / £10.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $19.99 / £16.99.

It will also be discounted on the Xbox store starting from July 14, but it’s not yet known if this too will be an 80% discount.

E: interesting effect

Playing Ridge Racer Unbounded. Seems like it flopped on release because it is nothing like the other Ridge Racer games, which I've never played.

This silly game has really over the top crashes

Was this mentioned here already? In retrospect it's pretty amazing that the game looked so good while being so optimized - it worked perfectly on my trusty Pentium 60 MhZ (that I overclocked to be a powerful 90 MhZ machine, but still).

Not seen this posted, F1 and Wipeout fucked and popped this out. Solid difficulty IIRC but fun nonetheless, easy to emulate too (GC & PS2)

Out of fucking nowhere Genki got resurrected and are bringing back Tokyo Xtreme Racer. They have several teasers on YT, looks like a classic roster with Skyline GT-R, Supra RZ and RX-7. TXR is one of my favs, no other game series (afaik) focused on duel format with fighting-game-like healthbars. Hype!

booooo, it's supposed to remain in the realm of me thinking it's insane Genki isn't either porting or making new ones for PC, not them actually doing it
