How this thread talking about Baldur's gate 3, ended up talking about Jews and BLACKED pornography?

You guys need help.
We are a branch of 4chan at this point, we are just a bunch of namefags. Sometimes we leave the schizo rambling and some sort of discussion happens until we resume with gay bear sex, jewish conspiracy, holocaust and gay niggers from outer space.

This month is slow. Cant wait to get in august!
So what you guys playing before the release? I tried some shitty Korean MMO but 2 weeks was my tolerance. Either retarded grind or swipe your credit card.
Starsector (again). It just keeps getting modded and better.
Elden Ring going blind except for a recommendation of a friend. Game is not hard but it is annoying. No idea where to go after Roderick.
Ass Defect: Androgynous. I just gotta see what happened after RGB 3.

I'm replaying the bg-series in prep for 3, and one thing that's funny about doing that while reading this thread on the side is how lulzily memeish the majority of bg1's writing is. it changes a lot in 2, but a lot of 1's actual writing besides the main plot is everything from fastest dart thrower in the west to siding with druids on the promise of aloe vera balm rewards
Do keep in mind that Baldur’s Gate 2 wasn’t considered a real Baldur’s Gate sequel by fanboys when it came out.

who are these fanboys

me and everyone i knew who playing ad&d at the time had bg1 as their favourite game and absolutely loved #2

the same was true about just about every online bg community at the time

though i was a retard kid back then, i used to like tob more than bg2
A lot of people didn't like the newer art style on the sprites, the NPC romances, the higher fantasy themes, the higher level combat resulting in less "challenge" (ie, random instadeath), the lack of "exploration" (since you no longer have connected maps ftmp).

Even today, there is a subset of people who will swear that 1 was better in every way. There are even mods to change all the paperdolls and sprites to their BG1 versions.

So I think you guys know that Human is absolutely trash because variant human isn't in, what you might not know is that the new changes to races make it so that every race gets a +2 and a +1 to allocate, regardless of what they had originally

So for example Dwarves who had +2/+2 lost a point, and Half-Elves who had +2/+1/+1 lost a point. They gain nothing in return for this loss, currently. And Half-Elves don't get the two bonus skill proficiencies that they're supposed to (they get some shit Elf stuff instead).

So basically a bunch of races got dumpstered.

That's the situation now anyway

the elves gained the ability to change their gender once per day.
Oh god please tell me you are joking
You can’t change race and gender.
Yet. Give WotC time. I'm sure it will happen. Such as a quest where you have to help a white human male NPC who is so full of white guilt finally become the beautiful, bi-poc, transgender elf he always knew he was deep down. You may think I'm being hyperbolic but WotC is that brain rotted on woke ideology and ESG.
I wish it was a joke. But here's the link.
https://comicbook.com/gaming/news/dungeons-and-dragons-genderfluid-elves/

The article comes with a dozen minutes long interview vid, but the main excerpt:
One of the big themes in Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes is the concept that elves were once a mutable race. Their creator Corellon Larethian was an androgynous being and elves could originally change their forms at will, although they eventually lost this ability when they descended into the Material Plane.

However, according to Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, some elves retain a blessing of Corellon. As part of this blessing, these elves can actually choose their biological sex whenever they finish a long rest. These elves can choose to be male, female, or "neither" based on their moods or feelings.
First of all, the author should really understand the difference between sex and gender. Gender is a bullshit word that people snuck into the lexicon by preying on those who were too bashful to say the word sex. Sex refers to genitalia specifically. The Tome is apparently saying that elves can change their sex now.

The complete idiocy of this. Certain mythological deities have historically had some degree of sexual fluidity, sure. But it's a bit different to retcon elves into dickgirls just because of Corellon's personal faggotry.

"Not how I recall it, what's your argument?"

"Well, there was a mod to change the ugly paper dolls!"

ftfy.

I plan to play the release, since I already bought this POS before it got pozzed. But I'm not sure I'm going to waste 70+ hours on it if it turns out to be a AAA Wrath of the Tranny in terms of woke.

Also, that darkmode interface is pretty sweet. Is that a mod or a setting in BGEE?

Just got done watching some idiot streamer's video where he talked about what was in a full release version. All the changes to early access sound genuinely terrible.

Also apparently the drow in the goblin camp is going to be a companion? But only if you do the stupidest path in act 1 by siding with the goblins. I guess hating druids is reason enough but I cant see a reason why you'd do that aside from edgelord laughs.

The only thing I enjoyed hearing about was the alchemy system.
what exactly is stupid about wiping the druid grove out? it's full of niggers (redguards/tieflings - whatever, they're obviously negroid in their features, and the niglets all literally try to steal shit from you and scam you too) and holier than thou druids. what reason do they actually give you for helping them? omg! le heckin refugees!

NOT MY PROBLEM.

at least the goblins and drow know how to fuck shit up and don't spend their time pissing and moaning about the bullies upriver. also if you do this, at least in EA; you'll never meet the faggot bear. WIN/WIN :positive:

BG2 had way too much cuckoldry in it. Haer'dalis can cuck the player with Aerie. Jaheira cucks her husband. Keldorn gets cucked and his 'good' ending is to forgive his wife for cucking him.

Expecting a widow to remain chaste till the end of her days is inceldom, even for the Codex

You're actually forgetting a couple as well. It's late now and I'm tired but there are two cuckolds on Brynnlaw - one is a minor NPC (can't recall the details due to said tiredness) and the other is Desharik

Gradenmayer made the claim, not me. But I do seem to remember there being people who were mad enough about it that you could interpret it as "not a real sequel". I doubt they refused to play it though.

Yeah, but you're failing to consider how OP the resurrection magic in D&D is. The player can ask Jaheira if she even wants to try to resurrect him and she tells him to stfu.

A few minutes later, she's already chatting up CHARNAME and preparing her orifices. :M

I've never seen anyone mad about BG2 outside of the Codex and a couple of weirdos from TeamBG, and I hung out on the earliest BG-forums on release. Everyone thought the new paper dolls were trash, hence everyone using 1PP and the EE's even implementing it (as one of the only mods)

You're misrembering or twisting the context - I played it through it yesterday. She gives some bullshit about resurrection not being possible, a clear (and poor) handwave from the writers to explain away the non-possibility of resurrection. You know it's a poor explanation since J states both the passing of time and the stuff Khalid was exposed to (aka writers just slinging everything at the wall).

But I did actually find it funny that two hours after I brought up Keldorn's cuckoldry in this thread, another actual cuckoldry happened on Brynnlaw - the NPC even says "I am made a cuckold." Damn my brain for not being able to remember who it was. Google gives me nothing

If the writers can be lazy with their handwaves (how hard would it have been to script a failed resurrection spell?), I can be uncharitable with my interpretation of those handwaves. :M

More seriously, she was clearly upset (or perhaps guilty) about what happened to him, and I doubt the writers intended this to be that way, but I still find it amusing.

Even more amusingly, I tried looking it up and found this walkthrough:

The bonus to inventory weight is weird though, especially with half orcs and dwarves. Furthermore, I thought players had the option to send all excess items to your camp inventory at the end of the day.

As for the holocaust, you don't need a citation. It's common knowledge at this point thanks to the Nuremberg trials. You can ask any school teacher about it.
Allow me to rehash some copypasta I keep for moments of ignorance like these:

From the London Charter of the International Military Tribunal, the so-called Nuremberg Charter:

Article 19

The Tribunal shall not be bound by technical rules of evidence. It shall adopt and apply to the greatest possible extent expeditious and non-technical procedure, and shall admit any evidence which it deems to have probative value.

The Tribunal shall not be bound by technical rules of evidence. And the second vital part, damning in concert with the first, ‘shall admit any evidence which it deems to have probative value’.

This throws the entire basis for a fair trial right out of the window.

Without the ‘technical’ rules of evidence dismissed here, confessions extracted under torture are admissible evidence. Hearsay is admissible. Unlawfully obtained evidence is admissible. Potentially forged documents are admissible. Evidence failing to meet the legal burden of proof is admissible. Evidence irrelevant to the matter at hand or initiating risk of substantial prejudice is admissible. Evidence requiring authentication and lacking said authentication is admissible.

All of those constitute non-admissible evidence pretty much worldwide.

If the standards of evidence applied is basically ‘anything goes’, you’re doomed to get all kinds of contradictory stuff. How are you going to decide which are the more relevant, more accurate evidence, which of them are going to be admissible?

The last sentence: “[The Tribunal] shall admit any evidence it deems to have probative value.

So, basically, the evidence standards go along the lines of ‘anything goes, and we decide precisely what is evidence and what is not’.

Or, to sum it up, the primary principles of the Tribunal itself gives it complete authority to reject out of hand ironclad evidence, if it wishes to, or accept as admissible the most sketchy, far-fetched, excuse of evidence that could possibly exist, and show no reason other than ‘it was deemed to not have/have probative value’. I’m not saying that is what was done throughout the trials at every opportunity, but the Tribunal was given full authority to do it.

What we have is a court with the direct authority to cherry-pick evidence to produce pretty much any result they want. In other words, a show trial, fit only for elementary school teachers to brainwash their charges before they know any better.

All those strange last minute ruleset changes make me believe that Swen already started working on Divinity 3 and simply cannot wait to get rid of BG and DND once and for all.

So anyone question I have, other than the "what will happen to Boo?" that everyone ignored... is: who's the next Dan Simpson? Will they be from The Codex? Will it be Lilura?
