NWN2 OC was pretty boring overall, but there were memorable moments. The investigation to prove your innocence, the night before the trial, Sandra’s death, etc...Most of all, it really gave me a feel of real DnD where I actually cared about the companions. They all had their own backstory. They even had a special place to stay in: Your uncle’s tavern. It can’t get more DnD than that.

Tell me which part of BG3 reminds you of traditional DnD? Even the sense of adventure is gone, which is the most important aspect imo, and it’s replaced by crappy survival plot that’s actually vague and generic.

I forgot all about those. It's been like 20 years but I remember having stupid fun playing one of them -- I think it was couch co-op? I don't remember people raging about using the brand back then but maybe they were out there.

A character is defined by 3 or more traits, none of which can be: their job or their clothes. You're a better man than I if you can figure this guy out.

And this guy right here too, except with this guy, all I know it would feel amazing to see him die.

Edit: sorry about the trashy picture links. Casavir and Grobnar.

I just like how every post the haters make itt reveals how horrible their taste is and how flimsy their reasons for hating the game are.

"I hate the game because of the title! It isn't a direct sequel! NWN2 was good because you were forced to stay in your uncle's tavern! So D&D! I loved NWN2 so much I'm going to ignore that it isn't a direct sequel either!"

What's next? A long post about their enjoyment of Fallout 3?

The same people who hate BG3 (for reasons they still can’t articulate), liked the buggy, horribly written cashgrab that was NWN2 OC.
There is no exceptional licensed D&D games after SSI, except for ToEE (for combatfags) and PST (for storyfags).

Make it closer to tabletop (no disengage as a bonus action, no elemental surfaces bullshit), tone down the quirky humor, keep the current C&C and expand on it and we got a decent game on our hands. Not a sequel, mind you, but I don't care about that since I'm not a nostalgiafag.

Serious question: did you actually play a single minute of it?

By the way I hope after BG Larian gets NWN 3 and Icewind Dale 3.
Rest assured that Larian will want to make DOS4 and possibly a Skyrim clone after BG3 is finished.

Also, WotC/Hasbro is currently working on several new CRPGs and at least one of them would likely be a sequel of a classic IP in my opinion. On that note, I am really curious as to what James Ohlen (of Baldur's Gate fame) and Drew Karpyshyn are working on at Archetype Entertainment.

You're genuinely retarded if you still can't see why people legitly hate this game after 175 pages. Twist our words all you want. We won't go away.

Twisting words, huh?

lol:
You’re basically saying you hate the game because of the title.

Yes. Because it's got nothing to do with the original series. Because that one ended conclusively with ToB.
The title of the game.

Are you honestly saying that NWN2 relates to the city of Neverwinter the same way BG3 relates to Baldur's Gate?

Both of them start out with a quest to get to their titular city, so far, yes?
