Every hater will eventually fail their will check and learn about the true glory of BG3.

Not until the full release, no. Imagine being such a CONS00MER that you pay full price to alpha-test an unfinished product, lul.
It has more content than most "finished" games on the market
Speaking of content, are there any unique heavy armors present in the EA?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Wizards of the Coast Customer Support. If you are speaking of Heroes of Baldur's Gate as found here, the adventure is unofficial fan content published through the DM's Guild online adventure marketplace.

re you happy, rusty_shackleford ? Siege of Dragonspear remains safely canon. :(
All it means is that those disgusting portraits are non-canon.

And that Xzar is NOT a Bhaalspawn. All is as it should have been.

Xzar was created by James Ohlen, and James Ohlen made him a Bhaalspawn, so...

And someone just magically prevented James Ohlen from stating it outright in BG1, amirite?

So perhaps, just perhaps, James Ohlen did not have the full creative control you imagine he did?

I've never hated the game, my broken record's always been "it's not Baldur's Gate", not "it's shit." But I get it, it's hard to read the Codex with Swen's massive manhood blocking your view.

The absence of party formations in a D&D videogame is disturbing. In the end it's not a big problem because precise positioning hardly ever matters (thanks to how easy it is to freely move around with the jump/disengage button), but it's still hard to process.
Only had a few encounters thus far, cleared the beachside ruin last night, but I'd have certainly preferred to be able to travel in formation. Just for peace of mind, at least. But yeah, the Bonus Action economy definitely needs some alone time with Sawyer in a dark room, got past the three Intellect Devourers in the Nautiloid wreckage with just my ranger's bow and Bonus Action: Hide, they never even moved.

Nah, he's the Almighty God when it comes to the games. I even built a small shrine in front of my box for him.

Also if anyone is curious, there's currently no belts or cloaks placed in the main campaign yet.

I do have a problem with people constantly claiming THE WOKE POLITICS is the problem with Siege. There's like one line where someone says they're transgender and it never comes up again. The actual plot isn't remotely "political"; it's just fucking dogshit.

Its problem is that it has a terrible story with a terrible lead character who is the embodiment of Lawful Stupid.

It is political. Kaelar or whatever her name was is recruiting people who are unsatisfied with the status quo, creating refugees in the process that swarm Baldur's Gate. It's not a good exploration of politics and is a dumb story, but there you go.

SoD as a whole is fucking retarded, and so is the ending. Who the fuck cares if its "canon".
We care because it's retarded. It doesn't really affect anything that much, except the obvious death of Skie if anyone cared about her, but yeah.

Which led to hilarious and probably unintentional interpretations of the first chapter.
Like when the guy who manages your money gets mugged by refugees then you find them spending the money getting drunk or whatever.

I kind of get the feeling that
something is wrong with Lae'zael and they have no way to "cure" those with a tadpole.

also just realized
the pod that smells like sulfur you can find was Mizora

When I was going through the files I noticed a lot of them have 'synposis' tags that are developer comments. Cool insight into the design of the game. ~3,000 in total. A lot of effort was put into handling edge cases I didn't think of at all. Also, quite a few notes from Swen himself are in these which is pretty interesting.

I was thinking here... BG3 already sold 1M copies. Imagine if this is like... 5M copies at some point. Then WOTC offers Planescape Torment to Larian.

While making a better combat is very easy to do (Compared to the original is a joke).

Larian even with their all of their colective head will never come up to match Torment in term of writing.
