In fairness, isn't she a massive slut who has sex with half the people she interacts with? :M

Wait is Ed Greenwood doing writing for BG3??? Is Gale a young reincarnation of Elminster??
It is Forgotten Realm lore canon anons that Mystra anon does require many routine orgasm anon because she is Magic Goddess anon so if she does not release anons she will magical explosion anons! It is true anons! It is!

"Narcissistic and way too cool" accurately describes four of them
Again, untrue. And there are five companions in the game as is, not four.

Shadowheart isn't a narcissist. She's defensive. People wrote her off because of how snarky and untrusting she was by default in the original release where you couldn't save her on the ship and had no way to establish a rapport.

The biggest narcissist is Wyll, and the game calls him out on his hero complex.

Gale isn't what I'd call down to earth. IMO, he's indeed a typical Marvel faggot half the time with his constant witticisms, but he does actually have more concerns other than himself. Can't really say he's narcissistic, just mouthy and brash. Ironic that he's a more typical heroic personality than the guy who thinks he's a hero.

Lae'zel isn't naracistic. She's just a complete racist and thinks non-gith are scum. Even if you are a gith, the gith culture doesn't lend itself to her being soft on you. If there's anyone she's obsessed with, it isn't herself, but her queen.

Astarion is a total narcissist, and it's pretty hilarious. It's like they took a typical Vampire Spawn archetype and dialed it up to 11. I've always enjoyed bitchy evil, self-absorbed characters like him or Edwin though, so my tastes are a bit unusual.

So, two genuine narcissists out of five, not four. And these aren't even all the companions in the game yet.

Complaining about romance here is the opposite of being consistent. You're in a series that already have those, so is not strange at all that these things are in a sequel too. Is very simple.
Apparently it is not. Because it is consistent for people who disliked romances then to continue disliking them, and dislike sex scenes on top of them. Also, you're being selective as this is not exactly a direct continuation of the series: we have turn-based combat and a different ruleset, so changes were already made, meaning you could get rid of romances for the same reason too.

Consistency would mean that BG3 keeps its full nudity porno sex scenes just like they had in the BG1 & 2. I clearly remember full frontal druid bush sex with Jaheira and raw dogging Mazzy and being amazed the Bioware managed to animate the size differences between the halfling and my half-orc.

Oh wait. None of those games had anything like that. Eat shit S.torch.

No... I think it was a gang of orcs ambushing all the female companions and raping them anally.

Oh wait. That wasn't in game. That was just a fan comic.

Gale is down to earth? He's literary, claiming that he had sex with the goddess of magic what a fucking nerd
His backstory is indeed insane, but he still acts like a bro and, unlike the rest of the cast, he isn't constantly reminding you either that he is an invincible hero or that all your actions are wrong and all your opinions are shit. During the actual game he felt more in the background than the rest of the cast. Lae'zel never drops her "I'm insufferable" act, Shadowheart is trapped in her mysterious ways and literally calls herself Shadowheart, and Astarion could very well walk around with a "I'm an edgy gay vampire" sign tied to his neck. While Gale feels more natural. But yeah, then he starts revealing his backstory and what the fuck man calm down

It almost like Forgotten Realms is a shitty setting that leads to shitty characters.

I'm fine with porn, I'm fine with dick pics exchanges in the shoutbox, I'm fine with every possible aspect of sexuality. But, yeah, I would prefer my RPGs to continue not having multiplayer orgies simulators for as long as possible.
Hang on now. Apparently I'm not up to date with the latest news. I've seen "multiplayer" sex scenes used a couple of times.

Some "RPG" these people are making. But definetly some "BG2". At least it's not my money being spent on providing zoomers with this way to get into sex.

I don't get it, am I really this bad at expressing myself or aren't you reading full sentences?

I mean:

"Narcissistic and way too cool" accurately describes four of them, with only Gale being more chill and down to earth.
I thought this conveyed the fact that I didn't count Gale among those "four of them", which can only mean that there are four companions I consider "narcissistic and way too cool" and then there's Gale. What am I missing here?

This is definitely a matter of preferences and sensibilities, but to me every companion revealed so far seems to behave like a super-special prima donna (Gale to a much lesser extent though). Since for some reason you get very defensive when talking about this game, I feel the need to stress the fact that this doesn't ruin them for me and I still enjoyed more than half of them. It's just a very specific way of writing characters that risks exposing them as way over the top personality-wise, making them feel as nothing more than a caricature of a personality trait. It's something that unexperienced PnP players do all the time, but maybe it can work in a videogame.

Under the effect of the initial shock, I couldn't bring myself to overcome the cringe and think of the fun opportunities opened by the multiplayer sex concept.

For example, imagine BG3 multiplayer sex being monetized by twitch thots. Tiered subs receiving access to tiered sex positions.

Throw in extra $25 and she turns down the character voice volume and starts live moaning. The possibilites are endless.

I can imagine how two dudes, somewhat akin to those from the Black Mirror episode, are playing co-op, getting to a sex scene and reload a save over and over again while jerking off furiously.
