Hasn't this been in EA for over a year now and in that time they've only introduced the Druid? Why the glacial development process? 1 class per year (sorcerer doesn't count), 4 classes left, so 4 years more of development.
I've been asking the same.

At this rate, they will have ran out of hype and potential sales in another year.

The game can in no way be content-complete if it's not even feature complete - how do you balance areas and combat against classes which you haven't even implemented?

My expectation is that BG3 will be in the usual D:OS style - the first couple of chapters will be ok, and the rest of the content will be phoned in in the final months before release.

With Patch 7 installed, the total install size for Baldur’s Gate 3 will be approximately 100GB, so make sure you have plenty free.
Some times I forget the game's (supposedly) going to be 150GB at launch. What are they even using that much disc space for?
the answer has been textures for nearly twenty years now
Can you please tell Swen I want a fun game to play where I am a Gnome Wizard with a party of bearded Dwarf women ? (clean shaven dwarf women is not canonical). I do not want a cuckold pornography simulation game.

Watch out, the main villain is Tim Smith the mindflayer from the notorious Evil-R-Us club of Baldur's Gate. He will suck your brain (and maybe more).

Does anyone know if this is VR supported?
No but you receive a swen-faced dildo with the deluxe edition

Lucky I held out for the deluxe edition. Getting quite excited about it now. I just hope it's VR and mobile compatible because I don't have a proper VR headset, just a cheap thing which mounts your phone in front of your face. The phone I have isn't a Smart Phone either so I might have to call the Nokia support line.

Mainly COVID, Naoki Yoshida said that it fucked over FFXVI too and made delivery of assets way slower. Some stuff like motion capture cannot be done at home. But Sven mentioned that it is a lot of work to release a playable build and everytime they release one, it sets back development by 1 month. So Larian obviously has a lot of stuff already done that they are not showing to the early access audience yet.

I think the amount of content we get in this patch will be a good indicator of expected launch date.

Swen's said in interviews that they want to test all the classes in EA (but not all races). So if that is still being trickling in one by one along with minimal feature updates I don't think it bodes well for a 2022 launch.

Rusty says yes, and he knows stuff. I hope not, I want the product to be as polished and filled with content as it can be, which requires time.

If it comes out this year, it will be even worse than it already is for being made by Larian.

The EA isn't representative of the content actually finished.
Swen was blindsided by how many EA copies it sold, that's the main reason it saw actual content additions instead of just technical stuff.
