well 6 stats are in, skills are in, and saving throws are in instead of retarded blueshield. mechanically seems d&d, but do all abilities and spells restore after every combat?

It's a pen and paper RPG, you can do anything if your DM isn't boring. Larian's goofy "set everything on fire" approach to environmental effects fits my actual D&D experiences more than anything else really.

why do people always get mad when youre the one to set things on fire :( it results in objectively better outcomes

If the maps aren't too linear, this has quite a lot of potential. The writing is going to be cringe, no doubt about it, but everything else looks fine. This being an AAA game is surreal.

All of you are missing the most important detail from the combat reveal.

You can attack with mage hand.

He did also point out that the Mage Hand died which wasn't supposed to happen.

However there's nothing in the 5e rulebook that says you can't throw things with Mage Hand
