apt name huh*I note them complaining about the game being too different from D&D, and too similar to Divinity; but also that there are level 1 misses based on bad dice rolls*
*I think hard about this.*
rusty was right againI'm pretty sure you're wrong.Actually I wonder if this has two combat modes, turn-based and RTwP. Because why you would say "Turn-based" there.
They're not in combat in that screen shot — I think you can toggle between turn-based/real time when out of combat. Notice it's missing(and replaced with "IN COMBAT") in the combat photo.
ofc you can dip anything into guacis dipping actually in D&D?
is dipping actually in D&D?
It's a pen and paper RPG, you can do anything if your DM isn't boring. Larian's goofy "set everything on fire" approach to environmental effects fits my actual D&D experiences more than anything else really.is dipping actually in D&D?
I take my words back. It's beautiful. And it has potential to be both AAA and Incline.
The combat looks like a faithful adaptation, why are you people not content? The set-up is too epic, but you win some, you lose some. I'm hoping you get to do more typically adventurous things after you get away from the illithids.
Almost by the book. For example the Special Attack like Pin Down for each weapon type is something that was trialed in some of the 5E playtest versions, but didn't make it to the PHB. Seems like they're bringing back a few more complex parts of the playtest material that's better suited to a CRPG.From what i see in live footage its not DOS combat its real D&D combat with all its perks, truly by the book. Was expecting a betrayal but now its most incline thing since 20 years….Even D:OS-like combat is better than any RTwP-adapted D&D abomination.
