Here the head of St.Peterburg's branch assures that "they will be getting rid of old DivOS2 assets over time, redrawing icons, changing interface etc"
Pretty convincing, right? What a weight off my mind.
I really dislike that he uses the word круто. Thats very close to Russian analogue of awesome button. He also makes no distinction between hardcore and old BG fans.

Also, Infinitron, why that Islamic dance video is still in this thread?

This footage seems new to me. Apologies if it's old, I haven't been keeping up with this thread.

Did they actually voice act the past tense descriptive text choices? That defeats its entire purpose. This is the silliest thing I have never expected. I thought the idea was to give the players their own thoughts of what the dialogue should entail. I bet it is because their experience is that voice acting is good for marketability but this is some critical thinking failure if I ever saw one from the marketing team.

It just works, I guess. They'll enjoy the 2mil+ sales from name Baldur's gate 3 and Larian studio alone.

Why are you faggots still arguing about TB vs RTWP.

It's been going on since at least 1998; that is, 22 years.

An argument that's literally as old as I am, this is pure incline

It's a different argument now.

The old argument was that we should hate the Infinite Engine games because RTwP was decline so all the games made with that system were automatically shit. The only true good RPGs are the turn based ones. That obviously didn't sit well with the people who actually enjoyed those games, RTwP or not.

Now the argument is about how the fact this game is turn based makes it instantly incline despite the fact everything else seems to be shit, including all the things that made the Infinite Engines games popular (visuals, tone, atmosphere, writing, characterization etc).

Actually, now that i think of it, it's still the same argument lmao carry on.
Nigga please.

The argument was two-fold: 1) RTwP is shit by design and made for trash mobs, and 2) D&D is TB so a RTwP adaptation is unfaithful.

But that doesn't mean that despite the shitty combat system and the shitty D&D adaptation, some IE games could be good, for example Torment. Or that some aspects of shitty IE games had good aspects, such as mage combats in BG.

The current argument about BG3 is that since this D&D game is TB, is doesn't have the shitty RTwP system, and it is much closer to the rules. That does make it incline. But saying it's incline now doesn't mean it'll automatically be good in the end. We'll have to wait and see.

I'm just reminded that Larian can't seem to make a single good-looking NPC. How am I supposed to identify with these characters if I don't imagine them naked the entire time?

the game he (in a small way) helped ZAUM make is now responsible for influencing such a big rpg
"Fun unexpected stuff" happening on failures is not a new thing from Disco Elysium you newfag, it's right there in the D&D rules, usually as an option, and has been for a long time (at least since AD&D).

Re: protocol

I have the vague impression that the astral/Spelljammer-type races in D&D are pseudo-futuristic and it might be in character for them to use terms like that, but I could be wrong.

You're not wrong and even if you were, the 'sperging wouldn't be justified

Don't be jealous that ZAUM and Prime Junta took it mainstream sis.

The only real difference that I notice is more realistic man-proportions. I don't understand, what is "darker" about that. It' still looks pretty much like DOS

I was going to post another joke about Githyanki gentrification and urban planning, but then i remembered it was just established that Githyanki do indeed have cuckolding.

Mmm, I don't like it. The models have the Bioware effect where the movements aren't synced with their speech. I know what the movements remind me of - NWN1. Their hair looks terrible, this doesn't need to be "cinematic". Concentrate the AAA budget on things that matter, please.

Swen already stated the animation blending is buggy during the live stream, you guys can stop criticizing it now.

So, anyone else going to tell me "oh, they are going to find an excuse and it's not going to be a retcon"? What a joke. And it isn't only about height, it's about weight too. A child can't undergo ceremorphosis. Or even an adult who weighs like 50kg.
