I must have 30 or 40 complete playthroughs of this game - many more incomplete of course. Also discussed it on the interwebs for forever, read walkthroughs etc. Still there's shit like this I discover :D

Actually, some of that might be mod content. I can't remember.

Basically everyone does, you can find out a lot about the plot a lot earlier than you're suppose to by charming enemies/important friendly NPCs.

I think they changed the name from Icarus to Irenicus in the EE? But I seem to remember the devs from Bioware confirmed it was supposed to be Irenicus anyway.

I feel exactly the same way. I hate the games he and his studio make, but I love his personality, at least what I've seen of him in videos and interviews.
