don't think it has anything to do with it being a fetish, telling someone to kiss your feet is a form of humiliation
I mean, humiliation is also a fetish.
everything is a fetish to someone

, but some old fucks still prefer AD&D for some reason.

Many reasons.

  • Did you DMed 3e? There are so many numbers/modifiers and it is a chore. Many rental DM's asks more to DM 3e than 5e by this reason.
  • Number inflation. On 2e, you get almost no hp past lv 10. And even deity avatars has like 200 hp. Dragons too.
  • Different XP for different classes. Makes perfectly sense that learning magic arts is more hard than thieving arts, so mages requiring more XP makes perfectly sense and it creates a dilemma in some settings like Dark Sun, preservers which evolve slow and defilers which evolves fast.
  • Less invincible pun pun builds
  • A lot of optional rules. Wanna make plate armor more effective vs a sword than a blunt weapon? There are optional rules for that. BG1/2 uses it but other games like Dark Sun : Shattered Sands nad Wake of the Ravager doesn't use it. There are even optional rules for breaking bones, bleeding and so on.
Note that a lot of reasons to consider 2e > 3e doesn't apply to video game adaptations. Having too much large numbers nad too much +2 +1 +etc to account is not a problem when we are talking about computers. And 3.5e handles some things better than 2e, like spell resistance and damage mitigation for eg. Feats is also a huge improvement. Which 5e made a optional rule.

----------------------------

My greatest concern with BG3? That they will do like SCL, not in the bastardization of rules, the game seems like a decent adaptation, but in making legendary enemies weaklings to fit a low level campaign. And yes, on sword coast legends, you can fight a lich at lv 6.

First off, 3.x isn't pretty cool, it's the best fucking D&D edition.

3.5 pretty damn fun but gets to far in towards super heroics for me. That edition really changes the spirit of the game when compared to the prior ones.

The way O/AD&D plays will always make it my favorite.

Power gaming > everything.
I never played PnP, but if I were to I'd be the biggest fucking power gamer, number cruncher, murder hobo you'd ever see.
Then the group would tell me to fuck off after 5 to 10 minutes.
So I just stick to CRPGs.

Same problem I'm having after the showed the full cinematic intro. The fact the tutorial will apparently start in the abyss does not help dissuade that concern.

I hope the narrative team does a good job of at least putting the fear of God into you and pushes you to planes jump asap.

It depends on the DM really, you just have to make enemy monsters more stronger if in higher tier.

Just watched the beginning of that interview with Keighley and it got me thinking of what I posted a couple hundred pages ago.
Now what have we seen of Baldur's Gate 3 so far? You're trapped on an interdimensional octupus blimp and a Mind Flayer surprise-sexes his tadpole into your eyesocket, and then he drives the octoblimp to Balance™ the town of Yartar, and then githyanki riding DRAGONS teleport in and tear into the octoblimp and it goes down KABOOM and then you assemble a team of fellow skullfucks and a powerful devil takes a sudden interest in your soul and then you drop down a hole into the UNDERDARK and then etc. I mean, who wrote this? Michael Bay?
Man, was I off. I didn't expect the part where the HMS Tentacles also poofs into the middle of the fucking Blood War.

HMS Tentacles .. Lel.

Yea I mean.. Sven's rational for anything is usually "Is it cool enough that I can talk about it on a cocaine trip whilst prancing around excitedly on camera?"

DoS 1 and 2 are really fun romps.. but like.. the lore is nothing I'd take seriously really.. it's not even internally coherent or accurate - the games retcon over themselves all the time.

I just hope one of the poor smucks that got tentacled into that ship are a cheese salesman. Hurr Hurr :retarded:

All of this anti OwlCat butthurt is because despite DOS2 being praised by game journalists all over the world and being available in 666 platforms, even on switch and offering a huge discount on kickstarter, OwlCat raised more money on their second kickstarter game? And having epic story in a low level campaign is so nonsensical... Larian will probably put Sword Coast Legends style lv 6 liches into the game considering that for then a adventure which starts with dragon fighting a spelljammer mindflayer ship having lv cap = 10 is ok. Hell, nwn2 has you starting at lv 3 after the tutorial and the game doesn't start epic. Starts with you on a boring generic village.

Note that nwn2 is not the best example of D&D implementation. You need spell fixes to play as a caster on it.

Just finished the final (?) chapter of Minsc's comic series, released a few days ago. Yep, he still has amnesia, though Boo is filling him in with the stories of their adventures (and it's left intentionally vague whether he means the events of the comics, or of the games, or both). Yes, he is heading to Baldur's Gate. Yes, he's in the city of Elturel, which has been brought back from Hell.

It's confirmed, ladies and gentlemen. Our lovable ranger is going to be in the game.

Got anything to add, Swen, you rascal?
The comics have some big differences from the TT module.

the game follow the module not the comic.

The game takes place directly after the module/comic. And I haven't really seen any contradictions so far, at least any major ones.

Is there a well sexually experienced woman there? Can some experienced woman actually do proper expert statement if it's pleasurable for a woman, and where is the best place to kiss normal female feet?

Assuming washed feet and for sex.

The comic ignore Lulu (the most important Npc of the campaign) and skip 3/4 of the module, ignore all the baldur’s gate part (the first half of the table top module) and all the story about discovery why zariel is fallen.

Nah, they're just overcompensating 'cause deep down they all know PFKM was a more genuine BG successor than DOS3 will be.

Foot fetishism is wrong, son. Watch a proper porno and grow some chest hair.
