from the other 5e games in development (Solasta, Fellowship Saga) it looks like the one least likely to be a trashfire.
Solasta doesn't look like a "trashfire" at all, at least not compared to BG3 considering Larian's shitty writing recently.

What's sad is tagging Infinitron and asking for a user to be banned. On the codex of all places. We have so many retards here whom I woul've banned a long time ago, but thankfully I'm no admin and can't ban anyone. And thankfully I'm not pathetic enough to ask for cretins like you to be banned, because I realise that this is the Codex, and the reason I'm here is because you can post here without the fear of being banned over every little nonsense or shitpost.

Bah, hasnt posted here since March and returns directly after sheeps ban when the discussion in the ban thread goes about Infis protectiveness of this thread. Appears here being obnoxious af and obviously trying to become a martyr. Even posts that authority breeds rebellion or some shit like that seconds before. Your agenda is clear as day, and others should know about it.

If you weren't e-stalking me like a lovesick faggot and had put your love of "TEH ONLY 5E GAEM EVAR!!!" aside for a moment, you might have realized that I don't think about this game, which I have repeatedly said looks boring to me, very often and that I had basically forgotten about it until someone mentioned it in relation to sheep.

So I come here to post about how boring as shit it is to me in the hopes that someone could actually challenge me and bring up something interesting I hadn't heard about, but instead I get a dipshit fanboy who begs an admin to ban me for my wrongthink.

Kindly back about 10 feet away from my asshole, internet queer, and quit going off topic about my posts in other threads as if I am part of some conspiracy to criticize a damn game.
Also nice edit bro as your post before was just about Jews.
Oh you got me! I edited my post to ask you to stay on topic literally seconds after I posted it rather than making a new post to ask you to stay on topic. You've solved the riddle!

I've been found out! See how I recoil! How injured I am!

Also with good writing there is always a way.
Maybe not with the way BG2 is set up. The problem from where I'm standing is Irenicus, not Imoen per se. Is it not strange that they deemed it necessary to have Imoen kidnapped/imprisoned after Irenicus' dungeon? This is because Irenicus is not a good plot hook and is not a logical continuation of BG1. The entire game (without the expansion) revolves around a completely unrelated side story to what is actually going on. To have good writing in BG2, it would've been necessary to rewrite the main story and not to frame Imoen differently.
Irenicus stealing a part of your divine soul to safe his own is a pretty good main story. It wouldn't require that much rewriting if you removed Imoen. Just say that he already started the ritual in his dungeon and you suffer from effects due to it. This would give you reasons to follow him even if Imoen wasn't there. At Spellhold he manages to finish the ritual and everything proceeds normally from there. This could have been a perfectly fine main story without involving Imoen at all. An evil aligned character wouldn't even need that, revenge would be more than enough. Actually the whole Imoen plot feels out of place when you play an evil alignment char.

Yes, it does, lol.

Irenicus himself is out of place considering he doesn't have anything to do with the entire rest of the franchise. Imoen is a crutch trying to connect the two games together and they knew it.

It is a weird Lacrymas 's fetish thing. He is the only codexer that will hate a game because of aesthetics of the UI.
Eh, the UI does take more space than it needs to, no hotbar, but mechanics is the only thing that truly matters.
Solasta's UI is alright, I wouldn't call it a miscarriage lol.

So is this some sort of immaculate conception akin to Rabbi Yeshua?
Afaik, this is like Zeus going around impregnating random women and there has been an exchange of bodily fluids involved. I.e. Imoen is your half-sister.

They should have made her in to a lover,a someone to keep you rooted and a good reason to not just become a murderhobo god.
I'm sure you realize people care about their sisters as well, not only lovers (let's be real, sexual conquests).

She wasn't supposed to be your sister, not until late into the development of Baldur's Gate II. That's one.
Second, children born out of gods + mortals in Greek Mythology would often be... unusual in physical appearance. A lot of the monsters were also birthed by liasions with gods, keep in mind.
Third, Bhaalspawn always, always, inherit the race of their mother. Not a single one of them was in any way, shape or form altered by their father, which is the biggest piece of evidence that what he "donated" had little to do with genetics, and a lot with spiritual corruption. Heracles could not just take out the Zeus part of him and give it to someone else - Bhaalspawn can.

So what you're saying is that the imoen romance mod should be canon

Might as well be. None of the canon sources ever touch upon CHARNAME's proclivities.

Oh, and as to the method Bhaal conceived children - it would make far more sense to "donate" his essence to a regular act of conception between two mortals - after all, it was in his best interest to keep his activities hidden until the Time of Troubles actually occurred. I never thought of this as a scenario where an avatar of Bhaal literally fucked a woman, since such an event would very quickly gained notoriety. After all, the guy has been doing it for many years prior to the Avatar Crisis - he even managed to sire a child with a dragon, who is a full adult by the time of Throne of Bhaal.

It's stated everywhere I looked he physically mated with women.

We know if a dragon shapeshifts into a human than the child will be a half-dragon. Ellminster has a half Dragon daughter because of that.
