It depresses me that the most popular RPG to come out in some time is one that triples down on the worst aspects of Baldur's Gate 2. Namely the cringe and pandering young adult romances David Gaider wrote to groom teenagers on the Bioware forums. Oh and the bear sex is fucking gross. Regardless of if it's a joke or not. It's still a graphic scene of sex with a bear. Who asked for that? Actually, don't answer that. I know who'd desperately want that and desperately want everyone to accept that in a video game.

Either way CRPGs are about to get really badly fucked by this incoming wave of degenerates looking for a video game to validate their self harm and fetishes.

Given that the D:OS 1 & 2 modding scene sadly didn't really go anywhere, have Larian said anything about modding plans for BG3, I'm assuming there's nothing at launch but if they've made their tools less of a pain to work with over the years, would be nice for them to be released.

There's already been a lot of mods for the EA build. Don't know how different the Release one is, though. Content wise the games are different. Some entire sections got removed, especially at the beginning. The Ship went down from 2 or so hours for every nook and cranny to like 30 minutes or so. As I've said before it's kinda obvious they wanted feedback on how combat and non combat interactions were working, so it was to be expected. It does seem you'll be leveling up as often as you could in the latter EA builds though.

It's pretty good for a big game release. It was pushed forward because they were trying to see if a compatibility thing for the console port got fixed, but they could get that to work in time, so the date was pushed forward.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a great gateway game for the stuff I'm working on, so I couldn't be happier.

Also my super-murder vengeance paladin run is going good too.

The game is so tailor-made for braindead normies it's sad.
  • You can't see the abilities that your class will get at each level in the character select screen
  • It doesn't tell you what abilities your race gets at later levels, so you can't tell Zariel Tiefling gets more stuff later for example
  • It picks everything for you, such as bonus ability score and skills, and you have to go out of your way to choose them yourself
It's like tailored to people without brain cells

Just the fact that you cannot see what your class gets at each level blows my fucking mind

Class advancement is a simple straight line anyway after lvl 3

I really don't understand what's the fuss about character creation, trannyfication or whatever.

Larian is simply following in the degenerate footsteps set a long time ago by SSI:
