There is, it's just off by default. UI art style sucks though, yeah. There isn't a proper combat log
Can be changed on a flyDo we know how difficulty operates? I'm hesitant to choose tactician due to the D:OS 2 experience but if it exhibits a better enemy behavior without HP bloating I think it'd be better
Probably just a bug. There're lots of little bugs like that I'm noticing and more. Due to million changes during the last months I imagine it's all very unpolished. For example when creature is prone the game is still show you the red arrow for possible opportunity attack.I leave Laezel to look for a way to cut the rope, and I get a notice that I've left her to her fate.
Haven't tested personally, but apparently the version of proton has been the issue with 1.0 not launching on Steam Deck -- maybe try using an experimental build? Seems to have fixed it for others. (Good luck!)Did any Linux user managed to run the game with proton here? Is stuck at "running" forever. I don't wanna to install M$ spyware only to test thsi dating sim.
BTW, why is this Larian Launcher 430Mb? Why does a launcher needs to be so big? There is motion captured astarion sex scenes in the launcher too?
edit : Seems like the greatest problem with Linux is in the launcher, --skip-launcher is not working. Did anyone know how to skip this bloated launcher?

Gotta say tactician kicks ass, Swen wasn't lying. I walked past SH and I think there was no chance to beat the demon lord w/o her (before he was a total pushover).
You put a dick on your female character. Admit it.anywayyy, i hope everyone is having fun. how did you all decide upon what to role?sent it spiraling into the final stages of death
He should be immune to vicious mockery.Demon was a mighty bitch for my Bard even WITH Shadowheart. Forced a couple reloads
Faerie Fire and Vicious Mockery mvps.
What do you mean by DM? Do you mean narrator? I think one of D:OS games had male narrator. Can you have a male DM voice? Whoever thought there are good female DMs that we want to listen to when there are so many cool male voices that could be used for this?!
Also VO in general is pretty bad and hard to listen too at every step.
I haven't made my character yet because the person I'm cooping it with is asleep in the other room and I'm waiting for him to wake up.You put a dick on your female character. Admit it.
You initiated contact with me first. Stop responding to me. And I've been posting on-topic this entire time. Why don't you make like your BFF mebs and detonate a nuclear bomb while sitting on it?I haven't made my character yet because the person I'm cooping it with is asleep in the other room and I'm waiting for him to wake up.You put a dick on your female character. And I didn't mention the tranny bit, to spare you the inevitable outcome of that line of conversation. Now please stop shitting up the release thread.
But a game like this only comes about once in a generation! Even if you don't like this kind of game, you should buy it anyway to support it. Buy it twice, even. Larian are the developer that CDPR fronted they were. They have Pedigree to back them up. BG3 is undoubtedly the game of the decade! It's going to change the genre forever!Holy sweet Jesus, give me strength. The camera is worse than Neverwinter Nights 2. I swear. Feels like I'm fighting it at every turn. And as I said earlier, the controls make for a mega-unimmersive experience. A controller is a no-go since the UI gets magnified by 10 by just having it plugged in.
In general, I'm not too impressed. Yes, the whole thing gets dragged down by the annoyingly designed character controls and camera. But I don't like how you are just dropped into this world. I know none of these people. Why should I care about anything that is going on here in this backwater forest? Druids doing weird druids things, okay? Why am I not on the road to Baldur's Gate yet already? It feels like I'm just meandering around, killing a goblin there, talking to a demon person here.
Also, having everyone act like there are the most experienced ever in their field of "expertise" while they are level 1. Yeah okay. Just too much that breaks the experience so far for me.
i'm about to begin my second playthrough, just not sure how i want to design my second character yetCome on some of you fucks must be almost done already with the game, how is this shit past the EA gate? Is it as bad as the DOSes or did they learn a thing or two?
Hm, somehow I don't believe this scenario actually exists within the game. At least, I hope it doesn't.i'm about to begin my second playthrough, just not sure how i want to design my second character yetCome on some of you fucks must be almost done already with the game, how is this shit past the EA gate? the writing is really top notch, I especially liked one specific encounter/cutscene, where a short ugly man was standing on a platformed pedestal screaming something like 'The crown was stolen from me! and now they want to lock me up in the dungeons!', with a red white and black flag hanging behind him, and a large crowd of men clothed top to bottom in white with strangely low intelligence stats was cheering him on. The game gives you a few options for taking care of this problem, and, heh, none of them ended well for said short man and his company
Ah, yes. About that topic... are you going to point out that female voice lines weren't locked to female characters and vice versa, going all the way to BG II? Or should we?You initiated contact with me first. Stop responding to me. And I've been posting on-topic this entire time. In D&D it is called DM, person that in addition to choosing all actions of NPCs, also describes to players what they see and hear. What do you mean by DM? Do you mean narrator? Get on with the times, chuddie. We don't say "woman". It's "Body Type B".To the true RPG gamer, nothing is more distressing than the sound of a woman. How dare those Belgians cause us such anguish.
