So by endgame it goes down the toilet?

Act 1: Great
Act 2: Very good
Act 3: Good

So there's definitely a decline, but its over before it gets bad.
Except the main plot, which is bad throughout, but its badness is more obvious at the end. Also I think straight up lore inaccurate? A big deal is made that illithids don't have souls. How can you Speak with the Dead with illithids then? How can the player be a Cleric and have Cleric powers after turning illithid? What portion of the Emperor is in the Astral plane exactly, if he has no soul? What happens to the soul upon transformation, is it lost? Many unanswered questions, and the game literally ends on a 30 second clip of the old god explaining this souls thing, without explaining it.

Doesn't the emperor basically tells you no-no illithids do have souls/feelings and so on ? Not saying it's not a lore retcon, I don't know much about faerun shit, I pretty much blank anything linked to the lore because the whole world feels too silly for me. Like before the audience with Gortash that Thot devil was litterally standing in the middle of the room full of normal humanoids, in devil form and nobody fucking cared... even Raphael takes human form to go around the mortal plane.
Actually in way that's very appropriate for a DoS game.

I don't think he straight up says that, but our resurrections assistant friend from camp, who should know these things given his slightly concealed past employment, directly says illithids have no souls. The plan was to gather more worshippers for the Dead Three Gods, but illithids can't worship, because they have no souls. So the plan was bad. Haha, morons. Noob mistake, he says.

Exactly how I felt in Cyberpunk / Bethesda games and to a lesser extent Kingdom Come: Why do they prepare all this content if even on the hardest difficulty you reach the level cap and become a god after exploring less than half the game?

What did you find particularly shitty? Apart from the tentacle porn.

The writing falls off a cliff at the end of Act 2 when the other chosen are introduced and only gets worse and worse. Gortash and Orin are non-entities, the Emperor is completely retarded as a concept and Act 3 also happens to go full globohomo with its other NPCs.

The most ironic thing ever is that level cup problem travelled all the way through time from BG 1. You could easily reach level cup way before even entering Baldurs Gate. The only difference is that unlike the BG 3, First BG had by far the best content in the second half of the game. Go figure

Does anybody know if the content of all chests is random or is it a mix of handplaced items together with random?

When I first got to the Astral Plane I found a new spell in the chest on the asteroid hand you can jump to, then got killed going back. When I did it properly with resting before, I ony got a 100 gold pieces in the chest, which did hurt.

This game wasn't "aimed at the masses", it was aimed at RPG fans, people who liked the original Baldur's Gates, Mask of the Betrayer, etc.

You know, the "niche market" that Bethesturd and Obshitian tells us doesn't exist, every time they pump out another FPS with stats and call it an RPG.

The problem isn't really that you're a god, in fact some fights are damn hard on Tactician even at level 12, usually just because of the sheer number of enemies involved. It's like they were tuned for a higher level party, expecting the game to go on.

The gameplay is lackluster. You can tell from how easy Tactician is. Extremely boring too.

How would you know Chazer? You uninstalled the game hours after pirating it for days. I was told jews are somehow clever?

I had to uninstall this. I couldn't take it anymore. What a garbage game. The Bioware cutscene dialogue, voiced narrator, everything wanting to sodomize my character, the unnecessarily slow garbage combat, the 5e ruleset, and the nostalgia bait is disgusting. 100gb of memory and it's all trash. There's a reason why I never play any bioware games after BG1+2 and it's exactly what Larian emulated when making this game.

Mostly random. You can find magic items in chests. The fancier the chest, the better the loot. Some special items in certain chests are hinted to in letters/diaries.

They pretty much confirmed it by upping the gold count in patch 1.
