Again, the 'Dex continues to stun me in the worst ways. All your talk about "muh traditions" and yet you fucking troglodytes beat off to a 2D sprite and debate the attractiveness of a 2D picture V. A fully rigged 3D model.

You complain about people being obsessed with romances in RPGs and yet here you all are meticulously trying to determine if Minthara has a manjaw.

Pointing out the fact that women are getting less attractive and less classy in each successive generation of media is a staple of a true gentleman's club.

We may not be rich, or dress well, or be sipping on glenfarclas single malts and smoking cohibas, but this is where the 'dex shines.

Hotfix #20 Now Live!
Version Number: v4.1.1.4854838

Hello everyone,

We have another hotfix for you today, fixing several bugs, issues, and blockers.

Was Minthara exercising perhaps a little too much independence? We’ve fixed an issue where everyone’s favourite drow would simply decide to not follow the party in Act II or Act III. You should find her more willing to fall in line now - at least in terms of keeping up. She’s still something of a free spirit.

Mac players, you’ll be pleased to hear that this hotfix brings the full release of Patch 6 and subsequent hotfixes to the platform, so kiss without delay. Thank you for your patience!

As with previous updates, if you’re experiencing issues after installing the latest hotfix, please check whether the issue persists with your mods uninstalled. If you continue to experience issues after uninstalling mods, please contact our support team with your report.

We’re continuing to work on further fixes and patches, but in the meantime, thank you for supporting us and playing Baldur’s Gate 3!

FIXES
  • Introduced a few crash safeguards to ensure that when a savegame fails to load, you'll be sent back to the Main Menu.
  • Fixed some issues causing the second player on split screen to have a black screen for 30 seconds.
  • Fixed a bug preventing you from opening containers (like the Camp Supply Sack) while trading if you selected a different character from the one who initiated the trade. This also fixed a sneaky money exploit.
  • Fixed a bug causing the environment to never take its turn, blocking combat from progressing.
  • Fixed a bug causing you to get stuck in combat if there were still some bats remaining after you defeated Cazador.
  • Fixed an infinite loot bug that would duplicate Herdmaster Skardjall's Scale Mail every time you removed the Whipping Cane from his body.
  • Fixed a bug causing the crime dialogue for trespassing to get spammed beside the Steel Watch Foundry.
  • Fixed some banding and shader issues in cinematics that were causing VFX artefacts on faces at certain angles.
  • Fixed Minthara sometimes not following the party in Act II or Act III.
  • Fixed a case where Halsin wouldn't move to his position when you arrived at Last Light in Act II.
  • Fixed an issue where Minthara wouldn't leave the party after being escorted out of Moonrise Towers.
  • Fixed an issue causing characters to tell you they were too busy to talk to you when you tried to speak to them. They were lying.
  • Fixed missing tab textures in the Trade UI.
  • Hid the filter tabs for traders when bartering with them, these will be reintroduced in a future update pending further testing.
  • Fixed a potential crash when preloading complex cinematics.

Plus, the charm of Mithara is that you can run around the refugee village together and murder everyone in your path
There’s this funny moment in the act2 when Minthara says something like: I am curious about something — when we slaughtered that grove I was under the influence of Absolute, but it appears you weren’t, what was that that moved you? Of course Larain included only lame answers to this with one of them being: I wanted to impress you.

What are doing players?
I played with Saint Wyll and helped everyone. Minthara didn't left.
I played as super evil durge and Wyll didn't left.
Unlike bg1 and 2 you don't have reputation that makes your companion leave. What are make them leave are.....triggers. Karlach Is triggered if you help goblins but if you murderhobo tieflings she joins you. Triggers are very strange.....the only way to side with ZHENTARIM Is to have Harpers in your party.... without Jahiera and Minsc they don't ally with you.

But you know what is interesting about this woke reality where you " cant " have hot women in games is it is mostly implemented in games and not other things

  1. The beauty industry is still one of the worlds most financially successful industries, it generates billions of dollars in every country.
  2. Models are still in high demand and you see very popular modelling events like the Miami Swim Week that are ongoing
  3. If you watch most news networks like CNN or FOX there are always hot news anchors or commentators
  4. Many celebrities and models are still attractive and popular
  5. Attractive Porn stars and strippers are also still very popular
So the point Im making is outside of gaming and woke demands most of the world doesn't care about this strange objective that somehow showing beautiful women " objectifies " women

Yet gamers have to be subjected to the end result of the unrealistic and irrational woke crusade and experiment that beauty is wrong....yet its a very normal and expected reality throughout the world :-D

And I also think most developers believe they doing the " right " thing but they have been fooled and manipulated because most other global industries dont practice this

a highly reactive world
Is this really true? Or is it of the Bethesda “see that town? You can nuke it” variety?
The reactivity is hand crafted, but there was an impressive amount of handcrafting going on. The downside is that the overall tone doesn't agree with me. I often feel too old for this DM's table.

This reactivity is slightly greater than in Ultima VII. It was supposed to be even bigger, but it was limited due to the D&D system.

You can move freely around the multi-level map, you can grab every baguette from the table, you can throw fire down two floors, you can run two different ambushes in two different places, you can turn into a giant and beat people two levels up. Moreover, there are many recorded statements providing alternative solutions to the same problems - if you steal the shaman's poison in advance, she will not have anything to poison you with when she later takes you aside, which will trigger an appropriate statement and reaction.

In a world where only Asians can VA Asian characters and only blacks can VA black characters, its only logical that Githyanki can only VA'ed by noseless people.
Does that mean Mindflayers should only be VA'ed by cephalopods? Should Larian be cancelled because of their lack of diversity in the BG3 VA cast???

I watched some of their High Roller collaboration PnP game, and they seem like nice people when they are themselves.

So I continued my journey and finished act2. Have to say act2 really was something else compared to my expectations .It's the longest Divinity game I have played so far.
Happy that beam dog didn't get to do BG3.

Oh yes. I don't like everything about Larian's games, but they have their strengths. Siege of Dragonspear didn't have any of those.
