Do you want help, or do you just want to complain?

Well unless you know how to restart Anomen's quest (not that I need him now since he fell back - but for the sake of being completionist it would be nice) which is kinda stuck (he never psyched out 2 days after he was called and the quest is still there) then probably no.

Unless of course I will run into more issues on the way to finale.

Gibberling Fixpack / Tweaks, Ascension, SCS I/II and Widescreen Mod are really the only essentials. After that, it's up to you.

Someone fixed summons so they act like the original BG1 summons? That is something I miss, but it really is WAY overpowered.

Both "unlimited" summoning and traps will ruin everything SCS brings.

Spell Revisions is a great mod imo. I don't play without it anymore.

And as noone noted, perhaps because of Codex general consensus that "they all suck",

Keto & Kelsey
are banal, shit, boring.

Yep, Spell Revisions is very good.

All NPC mods suck, but if you actually want them in the first place, I have nothing to say to you.

My SCS2 run is going swimmingly as usual, it really is a great mod. The Slaver random encounter really screwed with my crappy party, and they really target your spellcasters effectively now. The moment your mage's stoneskin / etc is down you know the invisible thief is lining your throat up.

What do you like about Unfinished Business? I found them excessive and dull, or blazing clear examples of why game content should be cut. Instead of the usual "it's shit", I'll break it down since I need to procrastinate doing something else more productive.

The Kidnapping of Boo, by Cliffette : BSB if you're like me and think Minsc is one of the worst characters to ever exist in a game. Obviously going for the Chuck E. Cheese crowd (kids, for you non-Kwas) with the addition of Boo. A rather involved quest and not too herp-derp in its layout, but it's worse than a Disney movie in content.

The Suna Seni/Valygar Relationship Restoration: Ever had Valygar in your party early enough to encounter Suna with him? Yeah, that's a problem if you want to experience the vanilla dialog that reveals that they were once an item. This component adds in more overwrought fan-fiction dialog that adds zero to the game. Despite this, Valygar remains uninteresting. Subtle? Introduced with grace and humility? No. A sample on their first meeting:
Suna: "Valygar?! Valygar, is that really you?"
Valygar: "Suna Seni! Oh, how I have longed to see your beautiful face once again! I have missed you so much since I fled the city. I am sorry I had to leave you so suddenly and without explanation. It pained my soul to know that I might have hurt you."
:retarded:
Kalah and What He Was Promised, by Andyr Terrible. You walk to an inn and fight a rakshasa. Oh, and the free rep point. I can't find anything in the original that justifies any of this. Apparently because one of the illusions was a djinn, that was stretched into this mess of Kalah getting this power via 3 wishes. Tripe.

Cat and Mouse: Bodhi hunts you in Spellhold, by Ghreyfain: Not bad and in the same vein as the Tougher series that restored the difficulty of the major ToB battles. Hardly something that qualifies as "unfinished" but whatever.

Gorje Hilldark and the Extended Illithium Quest: Getting the illithium already bordered on tedious. If you'd like to spoil a semi-major side quest's area and shove a good 30 minutes of mindless dialog click-throughs into it, this is for you.

The Pai'Na/Spider's Bane Quest: Basically a dialog-only addition, but it's real value is making it possible to get Spider's Bane again (which is otherwise unavailable in SoA... I think).

Restored Crooked Crane: Great! Finally the story of the pair upstairs makes a bit of sense. There's even some C&C later on.

Restored Encounters: A mixed bag, this. The extra two thief/vampire brawls don't add anything beyond more "Why aren't the guards intervening? This is serious." from the player. Hell hounds restored? Okay. And the vengeance seeking fighter still looks like half-assed content.

Artemis Entreri in Bodhi's Lair: But only if you have Drizzt as well? Shouldn't it be the other way around? By now you can tell that what qualifies as "unfinished business" is tenuous, at best.

Corrected "Xzar's Creations": A bizarre and extremely minor creature substitution. I guess calling the mod "Superfluous or Cosmetic Changes We Wish Could Be Thought Of As Semi-Official" was too much of a mouthful.

Restored Hell Minions, by SimDing0: This would be better served as an option in the Fixpack, or Tweaks failing that. Before SCS, there was Tactics. In between, there were AI+creature guys like Sim doing good stuff like this.

Gorf the Squisher Fix, by Gebhard Blucher: Deprecated by Fixpack.

=== I'm about 2/3 through. There's one component I'd recommend, the Restored Bhaalspawn Powers in ToB, that gives you back your BG1 innates. There's also a serious decline component auspicially named Sarevok's Remorse for Yoshimo and Tamoko. Skip it unless you think DA2 is a masterpiece of storytelling. Most of the others are deprecated or just whatever, but none qualify as the mod's title.

You know what unfinished business didn't get taken care of? Haerdalis stealing the bust of Sune from the merchant Qataris.

There's a reason devs cut content out. Often because it just doesn't fit it.
What Wayward said. And you should skip everything but Crooked Crane.

BTW Bodhi's hunt makes no sense since she comes back for you anyway and when she does it's a much better plot twist.

Also Minsc is a retard but a damn good killer :M
(especially once you get him Equalizer and that sun-something sword which both do awesome damage to evil creatures)

<3 Cleric's do not use blades but whatever. The new dialogues and new "in game cut-scene" for the end of BG1 in BGT was pretty cool. Good job on who ever did that.
Did you spot any issues with BG1 in BGT (even if those were minor ones tell me)

Yes there was only 1 bug I found (and that is it). Kirinhale (on the top floor of Durlag's Tower) is now immortal. When she disappears and then re-appears all damage done to her is gone (she completely heals all damage when turning invisible and then re-appears).

This is with BGT 1.15

and was the transition into BG2 smooth and bugless?

The "transition" to BGII actually took quite a few minutes. In fact I thought it had crashed or something, But I just let it run then after a few minutes the new in game "cut-scene" happened then the intro video of BGII played and then the beginning in-game part with Ireniecus started and it was all good. And the characters ported correctly. My Imoen has 18 INT and Jaheira has 15 WIS. This is the cool part. Now my Imoen can cast 9th level spells.

bg1ub is a lot better than bg2ub imo

Agreed. The Mysterious Vial is pretty much the only thing I add from that mod that was actually well done.

I have never played with it before so I have no opinion yet. Most of what you wrote I do agree with. Modders gonna mod I guess.

It is however no where near as game balance breaking like all of the BGT spawn systems that are available for it (and if I ever re-played this again I would set BGT to NO spawns when prompted for what spawns to use). All of the available options for it (as well as BGSpawn) are fucking retarded. They are balance breaking and fucking retarded (granted the BGSpawns were............... interesting until I got to Ulcaster and then facepalmed and turned the game off and un-installed it). Unfortunately the spawn systems for Areas has never as of yet been decoded by modders, so all we have are retarded spawns by modders.

I think I can safely pinpoint the problem with the spawn system as being either modder's arrogance or just a lack of creativity. It's just as easy to set up a spawn system in IE by using area triggers, death variables, and timers; such a system would be far more customizable and accurate. Instead, modders have tried to keep using the area spawns even though it's obviously borked.

I dug up my weidu, if someone's curious: http://www.cesspit.net/misc/WeiDU.log

BGT -> Ascension -> BG2Fixpack -> BG1NPC (this is a must have for BG1, imho, and well done) -> BG1UB -> BG2UB -> 1PP -> SCS -> BGTTweaks -> Tactics -> SCS2 -> BG2Tweaks -> Banterpack -> Atweaks -> XPmod -> A few animations packs -> TOBEX

Plus other minor ones here and there.

Jaesun's list is good for a painless 'default' mod installation.

BG2UB isn't great, but I like the little changes, like the Spider's Bane restoration. Other restorations, like Artemis Entreri, are unnecessary but certainly aren't a minus. Then the most egregious ones you can simply not install, or choose not to take the quest. (e.g. I never take Valygar, so I never cared about the Valygar Relationship component.) But yes, you don't miss it that much, either.

Is there a mod/script/whatever that enforces a level cap in the BG1 part of the game and uncaps it latter? That way I dont have to worry about the retarded BGT spawn system giving me a horde of vampire wolves to slay for 2k XP each at level 3 :retarded:
