Nope. You can only re-install the BGT Spawn and tone it down, like removing the "improved" Vampiric Wolves.

They did exist on vanilla, you know. There's two to kill on that temple-zone just east of Beregost.

Merida, again
Fuck, I hated those. I was like all happy and shit just strolling around, killing the odd Hobgoblin or two, and then BAM, my entire party torn apart by a pack of wolves.

The only thing I really dislike so far with SCS/SCSII is the whole enemies that will go through doors.

Like for example the Cultists that attack you outside the Warehouse. When they get wounded they will then seek a near by house and then go there. Same with the battle inside the first floor of the warehouse. Of course a couple of them went downstairs which then made the whole Priest and Demon battle an interesting clusterfuck with those enemies there.

It just comes across as a bit odd to me.

Didn't mean to disappoint, but that has been my experience with both games so far.

I've played Dark Sun once in my lifetime, I keep playing BGT about once every year, give or take.

Also, if I really had to play/recommend a SSI game, I'd pick Pool of Radiance over DS (sloooow game) any day.

You know what's worse? Freeing Viconia in BG2. That cult guy in plate mail with the bow would always run into the jail, and if you killed him in there instead of chasing him back out to do so, some trigger wouldn't get set and Vic would never (properly) join. [nerd talk: There's a flag in the CRE file that can prevent it from changing areas. Apparently he never bothered fixing this despite being told about it at least 2 years ago.]

Is there a mod/script/whatever that enforces a level cap in the BG1 part of the game and uncaps it latter? That way I dont have to worry about the retarded BGT spawn system giving me a horde of vampire wolves to slay for 2k XP each at level 3 :retarded:

In my weidu it is mentioned. You can both cap BG1 and reduce the XP you get from encounters.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Heh so I just rescued Haer'Dalis and noticed that the place he's kept in is an exact copy of one floor of Durlag's Tower. Dungeon vu!

Yep, I was just there yesterday. Creating environments took a long long time in IE and it was a fair enough reuse.

SCS v21 mage pre-buffs seem more... vigorous than I remember in previous versions, though I don't know if it's a real difference or my memory. Mekrath has Stoneskin pre-cast on area load, then fires Immunity: Divination, Spell Shield, Improved Invisibility when battle starts, and can do Pro. Magical Weapons on contingency. Meaning for any reasonable Chapter 2 party he is free to do what he likes for at least 5 turns, including summoning demons.

Depends on which SCS settings you go for. I always use the "pre-buff long duration only" one, which means that Mekrath, for example, uses his first couple of rounds casting those short-duration buffs, giving your party a fighting chance. Plus the cloudkill & web tactic still works.

I've just finished a playthrough of BGT with a fair number of mods, and I've come to the conclusion that the only mods that are important to install in a particular order are:
- BG2 fixpack must come before BGT
- Widescreen mod must come after the 1pp mod (preferably just at the end).

That's it. Anything else you should be able to install in whatever order without any issues.

Why do people need widescreen? I just don't get it. And no it's not needed.

And yes a BGT install with exactly 1 mod (the BG2 Fixpack) is really all you need (and select the option in BGTweaks to turn off ALL respawns). The 1pp is however some very nice eye candy, so that would be fine too (install it last).

heh that's WHY I have a non wide-screen monitor. To play older games.

Though you can always select a non wide-screen resolution?

Wat. No.

Anything related to BG1 must come before BGT.
Anything related to BG2 must come after BGT.
Widescreen mod must be the very last mod.

In addition, there are plenty of mods that conflict with each other, so if you want particular features from both, it's important to note which should go before each - Tactics and SCS both alter encounters, enemy stats and scripts, for example.

I installed BG1 UB and the NPC project after BGT and both worked fine. Ascension before or after BGT worked fine, though I installed all the other BG2 mods after BGT.

You're lucky, I've gotten an broken installation when I started with BGT first and then added BG1 stuff afterwards. But that was some time ago - at least a year or so.
