- You lost one slot in battle just 'pretending' to have a 12th man in your company while the 13th guy is sitting on the reserve. On the other hand, you can send this god for nothing hobo forwards in the search of a pike, a sword or an arrow (I mean, to the face), and lose nothing except the shitty armour you gave them.
High pay delivery contracts usually spawn event, when other merc band will try to rob you.Got a two skull cargo delivery contact to a city literally beyond the next hills (~30s travel time), which payed ~1200 gold.
This is how I see my mercenary companies:

accept a slow income of money.
But for some reason it always ends up like this:
It's event. Similar to bounty hunters after brigand leader head.if they spawn along the long road around the mountain range, I don't care.
What to give this guy?
Isnt that really quite disappointing? Havent I read something around here like you usually sell about the same copies post EA than you did during EA? I would be also more than OK if they dont expand BB much further but take their combat system as a base for some totally new game. Hope they will also find the right economical choice for their future.I hope the sales are good enough to warrant further development. Has the makings of a classic. But I have a feeling that the game feels too hard for pussy gamers today, and that most of the sales were through Early Access. Can anyone verify?
It's sold about 10K units since leaving early access (early access was at approx. 50k when they launched).
Speaking of which, today it hit me that it's sorta weird that there's no trumpeter role to go TOOT TOOT in battle in dis game.

I wish pikes had a spear-wall ability... Maybe even one where you cover only one direction but two hexes deep (for 3 or whatever total hexes). that'd make up for their shit damage. Could ditch the bonus to hit I guess. Sort of make them more like warscythes in a way.One million pikeman is the secret sauce?

Niche genre, unknown devs and no funds for hype and adds.
Its was expected. You need money to make money, sadly.
