Battle Brothers Pre-Release Thread

We're looking at 20$ for Early Access to the game. In addition, we want to have some higher-priced tiers for people who really want to support development and get some goodies. Somewhat like it is with Kickstarter - only you get to play the game you're funding right away. Those goodies include, among other things, the soundtrack and a digital lore book of the game (once completed), as well as an exclusive ingame item. The item is our first named legendary one and comes with its own background story. It's more of an early game item, more for show than anything, but it does look pretty cool, being the only helm not based on an actual medieval one in the game so far. Here's a first look.

Why that design choice ? Makes me think of that, in french we call them culbutos :

Yikes! The logfile is located at C:\ProgramData\Overhype Studios\Battle Brothers - that path may be hidden for you, so just entering it into the address bar of your Explorer window and pressing enter should take you there. The logfile also gets overwritten when starting a new game, so it'd be important to save it right after a crash occured. You can send it directly to me at contact@overhypestudios.com - Thanks!

Got it from your website. I'm not normally buying early access, but couldn't resist after watching the LPs.

So far it's been very good, combat is intense, there's a lot of traits, perks and equipment, I love the art and music too.

I got a crash when entering combat and a freeze while in combat with raiders attacking a caravan. What's the name of the logfile? I don't have an Overhype Studios folder, the game is probably somewhere in Steam files. Here are the screenshots from the freeze, I had to manually kill the process with task manager.

The game froze on this caravan guard's turn. They had a problem with navigating the terrain for the entire battle.

I will write more in-depth in a few days, but one thing I didn't like so far was navigating a combat screen with a lot of higher ground. I had to constantly switch elevation view and sometimes it's kinda hard to see where you can pass.

Wow, Steam takes that big of a cut from you? How come they let you issue steam codes, then, given that the result is the same (that being, I will download the game from steam and play it through their software)?
