Those could grant some kind of bonuses to resources, while enable you to create even more fun random events (like eg. mass poisoning because of shitty cook or jewish treasurer who ran away with all the money xD)

Seconded! That would be really, really great. And not too difficult to implement, I imagine. Maybe some post-release stuff.

Probably easy to put in but should be hell to balance.
Yeah, I suppose. Still, it is a fun, flavourful idea that's worth considering, especially if enemy parties were to get their own, special "secondary characters" to give them bonuses and cool abilities. The more screwing with the player, the better!

I think those were supposed to be covered by camp followers (coming next Friday).
Then again giving some non-combat function to mercs could really make backgrounds like merchants or priests more attractive.

Never heard about that term.

I guess, Feldhure should be more appropriate.
I found it from finnish sources. Probably direct translation from Finnish term kenttäpatja.
Mainly used in cautionary tales where local girl falls in love with dashing foreign soldier and then local girl ends up being fun for the whole platoon etc.

Heh, there are a few flavor texts that aren't for all ages. And some genuinely horrific ones, too. Some have even been toned down for being too :deadtroll: :lol:

Randomised traits for your non-combat staff could be neat too. An especially ravishingly beautiful camp follower for extra morale, perhaps a corrupt chef/quartermaster prone to dipping into funds and the food.

Also provides some fun event potential: two Brothers fall in love with the beauty and fight a duel for her, unhygienic/stingy cook gets everyone sick via poor hygiene or using putrid meat. A surgeon with a penchant for unnecessary amputations etc

I wouldn't make it a massive deal but some fun and minor benefits if you have a lot of wealth to spend. Could also have ranks for the followers: e.g cheap old whore to high end courtesan or a master gourmet chef being avaliable at great expense.

Just so you guys are aware, the release date for the next major update needs to be around June 7th. I have a nice period of time between the 7th and the 13th where l can play without too many distractions. If your timing is off, I might be productive during those days.

Got a plane on 7th and I don't expect to have stable internet connection until I move in for good(which might take even a month) ;_;

That UI change is interesting. We get 9 "camp" slots (for followers? Or for brother in reserve?) and 2x9 normal slots, so maybe we get more max brothers in a fight or an option to send the reserves into battle? Or I'm reading too much into it because it's WIP.
