EA is the lesser evil.

Also Dice still knows how to make games.

128 player multiplayer with those graphics and real time land and building destruction.

Just wait for the graphics-downgrade towards release. You know it will happen.

DICE are pretty good at showing off footage that represents the final game, like Battlefront's trailers looked the same as the final game.

On PC yeah but console versions will run or look like shit, not to mention but Battlefront had only 40 player limit.
Battlefront looked great and ran at a pretty stable 60 fps on consoles. DICE did well on the technical part of Battlefront on consoles.

Battlefield 4 looked like shit and ran like shit on consoles. One of the reasons is that Battlefield 4 like Battlefield 1 had 64 players while Battlefront had 40 player limit, not to mention all of the vehicle limitations.

There's no question that DICE is good at graphics. Doesn't change that their games are shit now. Battlefront was a disgrace. No way this game is going to be any better.

Battlefield 4 runs really well on PS4, I have it. It's main problems are the shitty servers, framerate rarely drops significantly.

GTA V doesn't look that great to me. Maybe consoltards thought it looked great, but the stuff Dice has been putting out lately blows it completely out of the water, first with Battlefront and now this. And Fallout 4 looks like absolute ass so there's that.

BTW, can anybody explain to me why the new Call of Duty is being panned so harshly? Looks as shitty as the rest to me, i see no reason why dude bros would hate it.
I'm guessing people are just getting tired of Call of Duty. This was bound to happen at some point, what with the fucking annual releases and all. Taking Black Ops 2 into account, this'd be four straight years of 'future warfare' games, people seem to be getting sick of it.

What really amuses me is how people are now treating EA and DICE as if they're some bastion of creativity who listen to their fanbase and care about what they want, conveniently forgetting all the underhanded shit they've been pulling like releasing Battlefield 4 while it was still borderline unplayable. Shit like this just makes me feel embarrassed that I get lumped in with 'gamers'.
A WW or modern setting wouldn't be refreshing though. Space combat is at least something new for the series.

Edit: I noticed there's barely any AAA game with space combat as well.

October can't come soon enough. Realliy excited 4 dis.

Loved all the battlefield games, and Battlefront too. DICE delivers every time. Server browser news are welcome.

Graphics, gunplay and gameplay always seems solid in DICE titles.

lol, this has actually become a Battlefield vs CoD thing. EA finally get to be the "good guys". http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-05-12-battlefield-1-is-now-the-top-rated-trailer-on-youtube

Battlefield 1 now the top-rated trailer on YouTube
The Call of Duty downvote campaign continues.

Less than a week since its reveal, Battlefield 1 now has the best-rated trailer across the whole of YouTube.

That statistic covers games, TV shows and movies. After six days, it boasts a colossal view count of 26m, with 1.3m upvotes and 24k down.

To put that in perspective, compare those figures with the official reveal trailer for Captain America: Civil War. It has had five months to notch up 55m views, with 348k upvotes and 10k downvotes.

Or compare it with the Fallout 4 reveal trailer, which has had 11 months to secure 19m views, with just 291k upvotes and 5k downvotes.

Clearly something is going on - and it looks like last week's Call of Duty downvote campaignis still going strong.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's reveal trailer continues to be downvoted. It is now the fourth-most disliked trailer in the history of YouTube - behind a Justin Bieber song, Rebecca Black's Friday and a Brazilian YouTuber who videoed himself smashing up his gold 1m subscribers award.

At our last check, Infinite Warfare stands at 18m views, 319k upvotes and a staggering 1.8m downvotes.

The fan campaign to downvote Infinite Warfare - sparked by concerns over the game's setting and availability of the Modern Warfare remaster - made headlines. So much so, Activision had to address the issue in its recent financial earnings call when it was brought up by an investor.

Time will tell how much this internet campaign impacts actual sales.

"Dear FPS Battlefield shit-eaters,
Please take your damn crap outta my historical channels.
Sincerely yours,
Mr. fuck FPS games."

Joking aside, this came up on a channel I've been following for a while now. Since this is NOT at all my kind of stuff, it was weird how they managed to actually make me interested...

We don't know what nations are actually in the game. Austria isn't even confirmed.

The wiki guy is doing guess work, but it shows his knowledge.

I think DICE primarily wants cool and dynamic battle scenery/maps, and the mudfests on the French & Russian fronts just wasn't that interesting.... from a gameplay standpoint.
The Americans only fought in France in WWI, so that's obviously not a concern. And the Eastern front had some of the largest cavalry battles in history.
