Best as in most memorable, most original, most interesting, most fun.

I still think it's Fall-From-Grace, the saintly incubus fighting against her own nature.

Any other contenders?

Wizardry 8 recruitables were all great. The animated portraits and banter take them to unparalleled levels IMO.

Also really enjoyed Dak'kon and his background with the Circle of Zerthimon and what not.

"Which New Vegas companion is best" thread.

fix'd.

ED-E MY LOVE

Rose of Sharon Cassidy aka Whiskey Rose aka Cass /fanfact: she was originally intended to be a pornstar...why all the aliases, true story.
Raul Alfonso Tehada, my oldest employee

One of these three.

Bonus: ED-ER MY BRO or Roche or Garrus :/

Pretty much all the companions from FNV are great and memorable.
The sheer amount of banter in the game is nearly unmatched for a ARPG.

Morte, but isn't it kind of unfair to have PST compete with everyone else?

Well, i don't remember Grace to be the more memorable but i'm sure she would have been the highlight of any other game, she was just outclassed in PST.

Morte, of course but any planescape NPC > almost everything else.

HK-47 from KotOR games and his meatbag lines is certainly a good second.

Shale from a DAO expansion is very entertaining, probably the main reason for playing the game and i'm quite fond of Sirin from Tyranny.
There's quite a lot of original companions in some JRPG too but most of those i can think of aren't voiced or don't have much to say unfortunately (flying mage egg, werewolf, phenix, blue dragon, golem, turtle turning out into a giant monster spitting fire ... )

I would have loved more lore on FFG. I really wish PT would have been a much larger game exploring LoP and the companions much more. Is there any chance for MCA to get the license to Planescape and further develop the world?

I really wish Chris Avellone would take a project head on again and create a world with Leanord, Tim, and Jason.
