Yeah, I was going to link directly to the pictures, but I didn't want Saint or VD to get thrown in jail for distributing child porn.

I like how the thread was locked for politics and spam (!) and not for having links to material which is clearly against ESF rules (even if it isn't actually CP).

The MQ in MW had no impact as well. Sure the gate is down, but the legion of dagoth ur's minion still walk around like nothing happened.
I wish I haven't learn that at my own expenses...

The first (or was the second) time I finished MW I literally WIPE CLEAN the Red Mountain region right before go straight to Dagoth Ur's citadel cause in my noob mind I thought that defeating Dagoth Ur will have put a stop at "ash monster" respawning...
I spare you my reaction when I discovered I was wrong...

That was the day I learnt how much lame Beth games are

Just wanted to start a big ol' "Thank You" thread for the people of Bethesda. Yes...there are countless bugs, a game engine that is handled terribly in places, skills that aren't implemented as well as others, etc.. But in the end, the game is a masterpiece that will be made simply more amazing with time. Regardless of the shortcomings, Bethesda deserves every award they've received for even trying to tackle such an ambitious project.

500 Brownie Points. Keep up the great work.

And this is a masterpiece?!

Better than most games on the market, no matter how it compares to previous TES titles, so I award 500 points.

will last.

Good Lord, why did you show me that? I'm exactly the kind of idiot that going to go there and try and find some scientific reasoning behind their beliefs, which there obviously isn't beyond "Ive nevur seen it wiv my ize so it mite be flat".

It's okay, most 'flatearthers' today don't actually believe in the Flat Earth theory, they just play along for the sake of argument... to see how far you can argue, to see how far you can doubt. A bit of a tribue to Descartes, if you will.

I recall Whitemithrandir doing that at TESF.
Sadly, I think he convinced a few people.

My grandparents believe in the Flat World theory. They also believe that:

The world is 7000+ years old
The Genesis of the Univers happend in 6 days
If you dig 800 m bellow sea level you're in hell
Praying to a icon will increase your chances of winning the lotto
There are 4 months left till Judgement Day

BELIEVE THE BIBLE!!11

Otherwise, WTF? I thought that kind of insanity was confined to the USA.

ENJOY BEING A BRETON!

I wonder if these guys roleplay as Bretons when their lunch money is stolen?

Ahhh, well they belong to a different type of flat earth movement... the religious fundamentalists. Nothing to do with anything Descartes-like whatsoever.

These quotes are just TOO GOOD!

The sun and moon, each 32 miles in diameter, circle Earth at a height of 3000 miles at its equator, located midway between the North Pole and the ice wall. Each functions as a "spotlight," with the sun radiating "hot light," the moon "cold light." As they are spotlights, they only give light out over a certain are which explains why some parts of the Earth are dark when others are light. Their apparent rising and setting are caused by optical illusions.

In the "accelerating upwards" model, the stars, sun and moon are also accelerating upwards.

The stars are about as far as San Francisco is from Boston. (3100 miles)

Q: "Please explain sunrises/sunsets."

A: It's a perspective effect. Really, the sun is just getting farther away; it looks like it disappears because everything gets smaller and eventually disappears as it gets farther away.

Q: "Why are other celestial bodies round but not the Earth?"

A: When you look at these celestial bodies, even with a telescope, they're entirely two-dimensional.

Q: "What's underneath the Earth?"

A: This is unknown. Some believe it to be just rocks, others believe the Earth rests on the back of four elephants and a turtle.

Q: "Why doesn't water run off the Earth?"

A: There is a vast ice wall that keeps the water where it is. The ice wall is roughly 150ft high. This also explains why you can find a vast plane of ice when you travel south.

Antarctica as a continent does not exist.
