By not curling up into a fetal position and bawling eyes out at the first sign of criticism.[How the fuck did he get away with this?]
This sounds like a fucking nightmare.

After buying his expensive LA home with a great view of the surrounding area Notch invested in heavy-duty, remote controlled motorized blackout curtains so that he could fully darken his room and play video games.
Ken Akamatsu, the first manga artist to enter the realm of politics in Japan, has wasted no time since winning his election on July 11th.
The newly minted politician has announced via Twitter the creation of a new taskforce to investigate and support the preservation of classic video games in a playable state.
“Yesterday at 8:00 p.m., the Digital Archives Society’s Legal System Subcommittee’s Digital Rights PT,” Akamatsu said. “A select team of experts has been formed to start working on “legal preservation of past games in a playable state.”
He added, “The archiving and utilization of old content that is being lost is an area in which I have a strong passion. I want to make this a success.”
Ken Akamatsu ran on a platform of supporting freedom of expression in Japan. A staunch defender of Japanese artwork, and critic of foreign elements attempting to dictate how Japan should be run.
It would make sense that Ken Akamatsu would take up the mantle of supporting game preservation, especially as a growing number of gamers and collectors alike are attempting to take up the mantle themselves.
I am still not completely sure that post wasn't sarcasm. This sounds like a fucking nightmare.

That's it - if there is a real world, outside the game value to resources - the game studio would just crank up production of the virtual resources and make bank, or at least always know where to apply effort to make the largest return on investment. See, someone hosting the game can adjust the drop rate from his hypothetical 5% to 10% or 1%, depending on if they want the price to go up or down. Its not like bitcoins or such. Put that power in the hands of EA and watch what kind of evil that would be unleashed on the world.None of this nightmare requires a blockchain though, just a simple API.
Building a cross-game economy on top of a shitcoin only makes sense if your actual goal is to put real money transactions into every one of those games mentioned.
