The reason those kids spend so much time in their rooms dulling the pain with games is probably because those parents are bundles of rage just waiting to explode at anything and everything as evidenced by their destructive and wasteful tantrums. If their kid's gaming was really becoming a terrible issue they could turn around and sold the systems online/pawn shops or even donate them to goodwill but I suspect these parents don't have much goodwill in them.

They're in takedown mode because the game doesn't look all that great, requires a mandatory online connection to play, gameplay isn't that stellar, only has story progression for the person hosting the co-op (which isn't drop in drop out) and runs like absolute shit.
