He did many things in His life, and accomplished just as many, but by far His greatest accomplishment was the defense of Oblivion. It's like with Bill Gates - should we focus on random accomplishments of his, or should we focus on his creation of Windows? The answer seems obvious.

Nick was by far the greatest thing to happen to the Oblivion community. Far too many people here, prior to His Coming, were negative about Oblivion and complained about it perpetually. Then, when Nick came, order and law were laid, and the community was at rest. All the detractors of Oblivion met an end at the hands of Nick, though He was merciful in His judgement. When He left us, a gaping hole was established in the community. Only His presence could ever fill that hole... and now He is gone.

Nick, we all hope that You are in a better place now.
Interesting touch.

I got a bit carried away.

I knew it was you because you had "Stoppping that Poisen" in your User.

Now that I think about it, that probably was the giveaway factor. Making fun of those idiots in the Angel's Tears RP thread is something pretty specific to this forum, so I guess that they assumed that a new account with that as their location information had to be from the Codex.

EDIT: Looks like it was probably Freddo that did the deleting/banning. I checked, and he was the only mod on at the time.

Wait, Nick's Dead? Or just banned?

No one really knows if he's banned or not. He was quite the spammer in his day, so I wouldn't be too surprised.

Also, he isn't dead. I did some checking the other day, and he still posts elsewhere. If you're willing to dig around a bit, you can even find his email address. :D

I just came back from lunch and, inspired by KreideBein's post, I was going to dig up a bunch of biblical lawgiver quotes and apply it to Nick, but alas it seems I've been banned too:

Your account has been temporarily suspended. This suspension is due to end on Dec 29 1952, 09:28 AM.

Well, like they say in the Back to the Future theme song...

Gotta go back in time!

Damn, I wonder if I'm next? So far I haven't recieved anything that indicates that I'm toast, but give that CJ and Jimbob got the axe, it seems like I'd be a likely target as well.

But you people have got to create new accounts. The forums just wouldn't be the same without you... and the Angel's Tears RP needs CJ.

Do they ban the account or the IP associated with that account? If its the latter I won't be able to post there again until late next week, when I head back to upstate Nueva York.

I just posted, they deleted it within (no joke) 15 seconds. It was a typical "dislike Oblivion" post, just not sure how they reacted so damn quickly.

What was it? Do you remember? Post it here so we can see how dirty summer's spectacles have been getting recently.

Actually wasn't anything that insultful. Just posted in a thread that if there was any way to mod the game to turn off upon starting it up, and BAM!, its gone within 15 seconds. Posted in the Angel Tears thread, and WHACK!, gone within 20 seconds. It also seems it is now placed under the protection of one of the moderators, they finally got around to noticing the trolling on that thread.

I saw a post exactly like that in OB General. Did you post it there too?

You can only go so long before your correct spelling and grammar is discovered.

That was the one. Hitting refresh once, I noticed you replied. Hit refresh again, and my post disappeared.

Funny you should bring that up, that was the one instance where I used their "language" (going=goed, fight=fite), and the moderator caught it lightning fast. I guess only morons are allowed to talk that way.

Dammit, I'm banned again. Vocal Minority this time.
I'm beginning to have a sneaking suspicion that we have a mole.

The ESF mods read this board, so for whatever account you make over there, don't publicize it here.

BTW, they're ruminating over your fate in the mods section

ESF has moved onward into the realm of psychology:

http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=606256&st=0&gopid=8830838&#entry8830838

EDIT:

I just received a PM from one of the mods, Talaran.:

Subject: Idle Curiosity?

You hate the game. Bethesda disappointed you. Why bother to post? Especially with your posting history; I know you either didn't read or don't care about the forum rules.

I also have a question about your sig; *your* rp?

I'm about to head out, so I wrote some inane babble in return, half of which even I don't understand:

Hi. I do not hate the game. I just dislike it.

I post because I want the next game to improve. My posting history, like the studying of world history, can be interpreted in a variety of different ways. It really depends upon what perspective you view the prism. As a moderator, your view of me would be as firebrand, troublemaker, heathen, like that Kirk Cameron guy. To those who dislike Oblivion, I'm viewed as if I were one of the Knights of the Nine themselves, gracing the presence of your respectable forum. Those who are neutral may view me as if I were a member of the Thieves Guild: which side is he truly on, can he be bought and brought over to our side? My posting history's true meaning can only be interpreted among the eye of the beholder, and God himself.

When Martin began his ascension to rule Cyrrodil, he was alone and unwanted, much like I am now. Who knows what lies ahead in the future? Where will this path take us? Great things may await all of us, my dear Talaran. Great things, indeed.

As for the rules, I tried reading your forum rules, but it keeps taking me to a blank page. Maybe something's wrong with my browser cache. As a result, I haven't read them yet. I'm just behaving the same way as everyone else in your forum.

To understand how the Angel Tears franchise came about, I will have to explain the history behind the scenes. The Angel Tears were initially founded by Redwolf and myself. He created the title, I worked on the backstory. We stipulated that, in case of a dispute, ownership will be split 50-50. I would hate to involve my lawyers in something like this, but if one were to persist to cede my share of the Angel Tears franchise, I WILL take legal action if need be. I worked hard on that story and it does mean a lot to me.

Have a happy and safe holiday, and may it be filled with love and hope.

HOLY STEP GRANDMA' OF BUDDA'S MIDDLE TESTICLE!!!

Did you copy&paste that from a 19th century american president and replaced USA with Cyrodiil, democracy with Thieves Guild and forefathers with Martin?

BTW: I was visiting an internet caffe this morning and to my surprise they had Oblivion installed at one of their PCs. So I decided to give it another go (it was either Counter-Strike or this). The first time I played Oblivion, I didn't have games with great dialog like PS:T, Fallout 2 or Arcanum installed on my PC. Now that I have, I can certainly say that the dialog in Oblivion (not the voice acting, the dialog itself) is SO banal and uninspired that I realy avoided talking to NPCs at all.

Whoever wrote the dialog for Oblivion couldn't write a script for a porn movie
