Edit: Oh god it never stops. You cannot die. Even worse than Bioshock 1. If you fall off a bottomless cliff the game just says "No no baby, no no" and gently sets you back where you were. No quickloading or anything, it just sets you back. If you die in a hail of gunfire, Elizabeth apparently DRAGS YOU HOLE FILLED CORPSE AWAY AND STICKS A NEEDLE IN YOU AND NOW YOU'RE OK. Not only that, she throws shit at you. Guy at was at 1% health, she goes "CATCH THIS" and he goes up to 100%. Game goes "THIS IS A GOOD SNIPING AREA" and she throws a sniper rifle at the PC replacing his primary weapon with it.
I WANT TO DIE

What exactly is this mode, aside from beeing harder?
Our goal with BioShock: Infinite was always a way to bring those people into this kind of game, but I think the plan right now – my thinking, anyway – is we’re going to hide this mode behind an old-school up, down, left, right, left, right, start button combination on the console to unlock it. You’re not going to have to finish the game to unlock it, but we’re going to hide it because the last thing I want is some guy who’s not an old-school gamer stumbling into this thing, because he’s going to think “alright, this game sucks, I’m never getting into this because it’s so brutal and so punishing – forget it!”

They really overestimate how stupid the average gamer is.
Which is quite a feat since they are indeed quite stupid.

And I'm expecting the same failure to integrate narrative and gameplay that plagued Bioshock, as Bioshock made money so they'll copy the formula.
Is that from the beginning of the game? Looks extremely linear and cutscene-tastic.Stream thingy

It's more than two hours in. You can click on "Bioshock Infinite" under the videos tab underneath the stream to see it from the start. Is that from the beginning of the game? Looks extremely linear and cutscene-tastic.Stream thingy

2) Why are there like, hot dogs and crap stuffed into boxes and flower pots? The random loot in the first two games I could buy because they might have been splicer stashes etc., but this is literally just dumpster-diving. Did they leave it in for the lulz?
3) Pistol ammo inside a barrel of fireworks. Because when storing my ammunition, I like to make sure the bullets are right next to the explosives. It's safer that way.
Oh jeez, Levine needs to get out of this AAA industry. What exactly is this mode, aside from beeing harder?

So I'm expecting yet another good world from Bioshock Infinite. And I'm expecting the same failure to integrate narrative and gameplay that plagued Bioshock, as Bioshock made money so they'll copy the formula. It will be another generic shooter that happens to be set in a cool environment, nothing more, nothing less.
