so i guess it's save to say bioware is dead now
What old-timers are still there besides Gaider?

He's the VP of PR and marketing and those are things Bethesda excels at.Pete Hines is a fucking idiot to. Codexers tend to portray him as being some ultra clever cynical mastermind when he's just some retarded Kwan-centric sports coach who digs some AAA gaming on his free time.
Lukas Kristjanson, Mark Darrah, Aidan Scalan, David Falkner, Nathan Plewes, Paul Roffel, N. Borstad, Brenon Holmes, Preston Watamaniuk, Matt Goldman, John Epp, Nathan Frederick, Chris Christou, Aaryn Flynn, Casey Hudson, Steve Gilmour. What old-timers are still there besides Gaider?
General Fucking Manager.
AWESOME is happening here. With this guy at the helm, I bet that it's going to be a lot of fun watching BioWare. The Schadenfreude is overcoming me.

Still amazed he didn't lose his job over that. Telling fans to fuck off is not how someone in that position should be seen to behave. But the whole Jennifer Derpler thing went out of control. The proper reaction would have been to fire her before it turned into such a huge deal.

What Jennifer Derpler thing?

(I am no fan of sexism, but the Hepler thing really wasn't about that, it was about her being bad at her job)
Here's the thing though, really.
If this were a Blizzard Activision company under Bobby Kotick, I firmly believe that this guy would not be permitted to make those comments on twitter.
I always get this vibe from Bobby that despite all the BS and this and that and the exploitation of genres and constant milking, he has a tendency to conduct himself in a professional manner, and expects the same from his employees.
Someone should have warned them!so i guess it's save to say bioware is dead now
Her obsession with hot gay elf sexytimes is fine, that's part of her job, but her disdain of videogames is a bit much, even for BioWare. Their split writer/designer model is highly dubious anyway, but it's worse when you hire that kind of writer.
It's dubious because their not writing for a game, they're just writing for a movie/comic book, and it's getting translated into a game. The current buzzword with Fargo and Obsidian is "reactivity" Bioware's dichotomy pretty much guarantees there will be no reactivity. There are paths you can go down and that's it.Her obsession with hot gay elf sexytimes is fine, that's part of her job, but her disdain of videogames is a bit much, even for BioWare. But that's the point. As a writer without restrictions or goals, she's still terrible. Splitting writers and coders and designers isn't dubious at all; you're just less able to compensate when one faction sucks at their only task.
