So is this going to be a third person cover shooter? Have they said much about the gameplay? Fingers crossed it doesn't end up some ME2-like shit.

Well, it is advertised as "open-world game". We can get cyberpunk Fallout (3) or Grand Theft Auto.

It's really funny, this guy says : "the film industry has learned that exploitation and sexploitation is generally a bad thing" , I'm a cold hearted bastard or someone is deluding himself. Let's see, when was the last time I saw an ugly Hollywood actress? Yeah... completely gratuitous sex scenes and nude women are exclusives of the game industry. You can smell the stench of nerd insecurity in his article.

The Psycho Squad specializes in combating "psychos" -- individuals who overuse implants and substances that boost or otherwise alter the human body.

Cyberpunk Warden/Spectre/Witcher. When will we start getting ordinary people thrown into extraordinary situations instead of pompous shit like this?

This actually got me thinking, how do they want to combine this with non-linear sandbox gameplay? Now sure the teaser implies the PC can be a Psycho Squad cop, but if the PC is role-locked into a job like that how will they justify the non-linearity? This is essentially an anti-cyborg SWAT team, they can't just spend whole days nights derping around.

So you'd rather prefer The Witcher was about a potato farmer farming potatoes and selling them in a market?

No, but normal person XY can grow in such a role, instead of being super duper awesome right at the beginning.

Not only that, but on February 5th, another CD Projekt title which is "much closer to being completed" will be announced. It will apparently be a "fully open-world game". Open-world Witcher 3? Oh my.

More room to roll, fuck yeah. I really hope they change that combat system. Also the character development system. Is it too much to ask for a 2013/4 ARPG to be as good as Gothic 2?

I've always thought that an interesting idea for a futuristic like game would be the player inhabiting a robot thrown onto a scrapyard, with only enough power supply left for a few hours. Instead of regular gear you have robotic/synthetic body-parts, want a better arm for better melee combat, a leg for better movement, just buy a new one or pull one from a defeated enemy and attach it onto your character.

The Witcher is predefined as pompous in the books already, in Cyberpunk you gonna play as a custom character. There's too little information to make assumptions 'bout how they're going to gonna this - it may be your first day of the job e.g.

Are they intentionally shooting for a bland and generic as possible? It's even named "Cyberpunk"?! Glad to see they have money to waste on a prerendered trailer though, good for them!

It's the name of the licensed game you dumb piece of shit.

Wow, you're pretty fucking dense.

I am aware. It doesn't make it a less bad name in any way though.

In this thread we learn that Mrowak cannot into good music :troll:

Anyway, System Shock's remix was good but too trancy for me to assosiate it with cyberpunk.

Ghost in the shell's theme was OK , but too ethnic.

I think the setting needs more amposhere, more synth and more bass.

So, I will refrain from adding the obvious Vangelis BR theme and give the definite cyberpunk version, with Matt Seldon's soundtrack from the Dreamweb game:

Because from zero to hero is a super original, never before used concept.

How about from zero to zero point six? Fuck heroes.

Cyberpunk = 80s synth music is a stupid cliche. Why regress back to it when it has already been left behind by better examples like GITS?

How about hero to zero? It could potentially work out, supposing your character wears himself down by fighting. Leveling 'up' would entail removing some stats and skills and, while the scope of your opponents wouldn't change, the difficulty would continue to ramp up and item reliance would increase linearly with story progression. Could be pretty cool.

What makes you think that in 2077 shitty pop/rock bands won't be on top lists? The song fits just fine.
