Absinthe, I'm not actually convinced you can read. Especially not after that reply. Try to eat fewer dicks in the future. Cheers!
Dude, if you're going to try to make a comeback, get better zingers first and don't answer in a way that makes it blatantly obvious you're sore that I got under your skin and bruised your ego. Seriously, don't be a thin-skinned bitch. It's not doing you any good.

If it makes you feel any better, I actually have no idea what the fuck you're on about. You've convinced me awhile ago that you're completely fucking retarded though. So congratulations I guess.
Guess your reading skills are the ones that need improvement, then.

You don't know what the fuck I'm on about but you're convinced that I'm completely fucking retarded. Do you even stop to process the shit you say before you open your mouth to say it? Seems like a no, because what you said just now is what retardation looks like alright: Not having a clue what you're on about but being convinced of your judgment all the same.

mediocrepoet, are you retarded?
Yes. Therefore, I didn't read any further in whatever you're sperging on about. Have a nice day!

Please read above. If you can't figure out how this would play out, I can't help you. I would advise though, that if you would like to continue this boring tangent of whatever though, just type it into a word doc and then close it after. It will still reach the same audience and you can still feel like a big boy. Toodles!

For someone who doesn't read my posts you sure invest a lot of energy into replying to all of them. Tell me, are you trying to be this stupid or does it come naturally to you? You legit went full manchild here and every last one of your previous set of posts has been about your bruised ego and how desperate you are to pretend you're above it all.

It's just that I've always wanted my own fan club. I don't think anyone's paid this much attention to me in my life. You're like a Chinese Helicopter mom. So tell me, Absinthe. Why do you crave my attention so? What is it that makes you want to suck my cock? If you want me to read anything that you've written, feel free to send a cheque to cover the retainer for my billable rate. Otherwise you're barking up the wrong tree.

Hey, you're actually doing a little bit better there on the zingers. Congratulations. Still, you're obviously high as a kite here with your narcissistic delusions of grandeur, so maybe tone it down a notch. If this is the most attention anyone's paid to you in your life, that's actually kind of pathetic. No idea what brought on the spot comparison to Chinese helicopter parents either, but it's clear you have some issues you need to work your way through. Try getting a therapist. It'll do you good.

Thanks for the beautiful words of worship, Absinthe! Feel free to drop it to my PMs or profile page, though. I don't think it has anything to do with Cyberpunk!
And don't forget, YOU are the real hero!
You know, anyone looking at your post here is just gonna see you acting out and making an unsightly display of yourself. You should really exercise more self-awareness.

Well, at least I can't fault your capacity for irony. Anyone who looked at this page would see you calling me out for... something that I didn't read and told you I didn't read and then you crying about that and insulting me repeatedly and trying to get me to register it as something I should care about for some reason. Here's my secret. I don't care. I don't know who you are. Your long ass post wasn't worth reading. Go fuck yourself. Or don't. I really don't give a shit.

Infinitron can you retardo this derail that Absinthe started and won't let go, please?

CD Projekt stock is worth a quarter of what it was before Cyberpunk 2077 released

It's PCGamer link so I just copied it below. Can I get a good riddance?

The botched launch has financially humbled the former 'biggest games company in Europe.'

A new report from Business Insider Poland paints a grim picture for CD Projekt: the company's value has cratered by over 75% since just before the launch of Cyberpunk 2077. A business that once boasted a market capitalisation of over 40 billion Polish złoty—briefly becoming the most valuable games company in Europe—is now worth less than zł10 billion.

In the weeks leading up to Cyberpunk's launch, CDP shares were trading at around zł400 each, hitting zł443 a share only 6 days before the game's release. The story since then has been one of sharp falls and brief plateaus: with CDP shares and market cap halving in value in the first few months of 2021, then almost halving again since the end of March this year.

In simpler terms, this basically means that the reception of Cyberpunk 2077 and CDP's subsequent firefighting of the problems has shorn off 5 years' of the company's overall value. This is despite Cyberpunk 2077 selling almost 14 million copies in 2020 alone. Ever since launch the developer has been largely focused on fixing problems with the game (mainly on console, it has to be said): and the multiplayer mode that was once promised is now not happening. Perhaps the most humiliating moment, perception-wise, was that Sony removed the game from the PlayStation Store (it has subsequently returned).

The company's post-Cyberpunk plummet has left its market cap trending around a level equivalent to its value in 2017. While it's probably to be expected that a game company's value would drop a bit after their much-hyped game finally released, the dizzying scale of CDP's fall can hardly be interpreted as anything but a result of Cyberpunk's mismanagement.

Perhaps more galling for CDP is the possibility that they are no longer Poland's biggest game studio. Business Insider Poland draws on some maths done by Puls Biznesu, a Polish business daily, to suggest that Techland might now be Poland's biggest game company by market cap. The numbers on this one are pretty fuzzy, though: Techland aren't listed on a stock exchange, so Puls Biznesu had to guess at what their share price would be to arrive at its final estimate of a market cap of around zł10.6 billion.

It's not the end of the world for CDP: the company still sits comfortably in the WIG20 index of the 20 biggest companies on the Warsaw stock exchange. In 2017, CDP was still in the afterglow of The Witcher 3's release, and had only released its last DLC a year prior. Returning to a 2017-era market cap, then, doesn't mean CDP is on the verge of shutting up shop, but it does show that what's happened with Cyberpunk has hurt the studio. No wonder that all of a sudden it's talking about a new Witcher game.

Hm? I guess since you need help I'll spell it out for you. First, I was shitting on you for shit take on cyberpunk. This was enough for you to get totally assblasted and leave in a huff, but not before circling back like half a dozen times to show off how not butthurt you are, even as you keep lashing out at me. Second, my posts were in fact by and large legitimate advice, and I don't really give a fuck for you how register it, but you do make tooling you entirely too easy, which is an opportunity I'll take for my own shits and giggles. You're clearly a lot more driven by your ego than you pretend, since you legit discarded everything from a constructive discussion about cyberpunk to some constructive feedback on your behavior in favor of making it all about how you're leaving in a huff, how you're totally not butthurt, and your burning need for comebacks and zingers. Legit all about ego. I will give you this though, your comeback game has improved a bit over the course of this, so maybe you'll at least do better on that front in the future.

Anyway, have a good one, and I'd seriously consider a therapist if I were you.

Not sure how much of a difference it makes. Cyberpunk 2077 may have been a colossal shitshow but it sold massively and GOG is still pumping out revenue too, so their cash on hand is probably fairly good. Looks like CDPR was overvalued too (product hype turning into stock hype), so a market correction there probably isn't dragging CD Projekt down into any danger zone. The real potential for damage will probably hinge on Witcher 4, where their reputation as an employer is shot, their brand is damaged, and their ability to keep funding super-massive teams through years of development might take a bruising. Still, CD Projekt is presently valued at over 2 billion USD, so odds are they can finance the project.

found a bunch of rare decal bikes, including a black one:
You can install the Vehicle Customizer mod and pick which skins you like.
Doesn't that defeat the purpose of 'finding' a rare bike/car though?
Not exactly, since there's typically only one or two of each vehicle type available, and there's also handling differences. The mod allows you to select from different skins for that model vehicle so, for example, you could swap the Akira-style paint job on the Kusanagi for a black one or even the stripped-down Animals crotchrocket, but you can't make the Kusanagi look like an Arch.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
A drama in a dead game thread, how exciting.

Btw the 1980s cyberpunk absolutely did start as a political statement, it was basically a "high-tech/low-life corporate dystopia" genre. It was p. much the 20th century American left-liberal anti-corpo message first and science-fiction second, that's how political it was.

Times they're a changing though. Today the American left is decidedly pro-corpo, as long as the corpos are pro-woke, which they are. So increasingly the anti-corporate sentiment is becoming a favourite conservative thing. What a cruel joke has been played on poor Gibson, Sterling, Williams and other kwan libtards who midwifed this thing decades ago.

 Uh, kid, you realize making a point out of how you don't care and aren't reading my posts really doesn't work when obviously you keep getting worked up enough to reply to every last one of them and make a point out of how not affected you are? This is like the world's shittiest projection and reverse psychology on display. You're trying to make a point of how you're ignoring my posts, so you accuse me of needing to put you on ignore, and in your latest attempt at a zinger you're pretty much repeating my own language from this post early in our exchange back at me. Yeah, you're totally not caring about or reading my posts, kid.

Seriously though, you need to grow up a bit. Seems like some part of your social skills never progressed beyond your childhood phase.

More like a crappy flamewar, tbh. But enjoy.

I don't think any of them cared all that much about the left vs right side of it, and most cyberpunk distrusts government pretty heavily on the whole. When your premise is that the system's rigged and they're all corrupt you're not really making a ringing endorsement for either party. I don't think any of them were headed for some kind of "It's okay when our side does it" partisan shit either. If anything, I think there's a lot more criticism of the notion that it's good to identify politically with corporations just because they make noises that pretend to care about you and align with your values.

Absinthe Why do you keep pinging me? Like I say, if you want something, feel free to PM or hit up my profile.

This is the CD Projekt Cyberpunk game thread.
You're still welcome to respond to the discussion about whether cyberpunk is political. But it seems like you lost that argument, so you fled that subject and just about every constructive subject, and now you're whining... that you're not talking about cyberpunk? Maybe take some responsibility for yourself, mate.

Yeah, it was Kjaska who made the original boneheaded claim about cyberpunk not really being political. You just dove in by shitting on the discussion about the presence of politics in a cyberpunk world. At any rate, pick your cyberpunk topic. No one's keeping you from it.
