Ran into a weird input bug where I could no longer change answers or fast forward during a conversation. Reloading fixed it, thankfully. Also some bugs where a body fell weirdly and is unlootable, also the body still shouts at me occasionally in spite of it being dead :/

Overall still doing really well in terms of bugs, though. Total of 4 types encountered so far (Jackie clipping through the elev. doors, bugged mirrors and the above 2). No crashes at all.

Can someone explain why the choice and consequence is even worse than witcher 3 here, even though they had more budget? Did they squander it all on marketing or something? Why is making a proper rpg that hard for companies?
CDPR is the new Rockstar. RPG mechanics get in the way of billions.

But the world isnt nearly as interactive or interesting as RDR 2 neither is the immersion. They're not even close to rockstar.

Can we make this a drinking game? Everytime someone mentions Jackie clipping through elevator doors, we have to take a sip of genuine potatomade wodka.
Makes you forget the game's problems AND helps the potato economy. Double inlcline. :obviously:

Can this game be considered cyberpunk?
I would say yes but you're right that its clear to Corpos managed to reform Night City into a prosperous City because it doesn't seem at all like the worst place to live like it did in CP2020 this place looks better than my actual home town LOL granted I am in Mad Max territory so yeah that makes a lot of sense.

The lack of choice and consequence is why I disregard this game as a Deus Ex clone. They have however managed to adopt some of the play style matters but its more just a different means of doing combat I'd say if you go full tech you're nerfing your character pretty bad.

I'm on a GTX 1080 TI with 32 GB of RAM and a Ryzen 7 2700X. If I run the game at High at 1440p I get awful performance. Never reaching beyond 60FPS and mostly staying at 40. The graphics aren't so good that it should be able to destroy my 1080 like that. I tried at medium settings and it's only a slight improvement. Even running at 1080p. I made sure the frame limiter and vsync are off. Tuned down some settings even more and reduced crowd density to low. And I'm happy to report that if I am staring at a wall with no lights on then I get a solid 60 FPS that then dips to 30-40 FPS if I dare to move from that spot. A lot of reviews are saying the game runs better on DLSS. And I think CDPR are leveraging that for performance. You can get double the frames. Naturally this tech is unavailable for my graphics card.

This game wasn't ready to come out yet at all. God forbid what this game will look like on a 1060. Or whatever it is you slavs use.

60-90 fps on gtx 1070 ti on 1440p/144gz monitor with freesync/gsync.
Playable.
Interesting. That's with all set to ultra/high?

3WCCLts.jpg

Everything on low, fov 75, 1080 resolution on 1440 monitor

Here is some of my performance. Like I said, stable 40s indoors and dropping to ~35 fps in crowded streets with everything maxed out at 1440p on a 1080ti. If I switch to upscaling from 1080 to 1440 I get an unpleasant blurryness. Maybe I should try dropping some settings and see if I notice the difference, but the low framerate doesn't bother me so much yet. Disabling AA from Nvidia control panel didn't seem to do anything neither to the image nor to the framerate.

Btw, bullet sponginess is pretty ok right now (on max diff) after doing a bunch of those generic police activities (kill gangers and loot everything, basically). Haven't even chosen any damage perks. That's with doing activities where the danger is said to be moderate. Curious how things are going to go during the next car chase scene... That'll be the real test.
Encounters are mostly just boring though. You have so many options and the enemies just don't work that well.

Also getting quite a lot of money now. So much for the economy being tight in this. Reviews that mention it were full of shit.
I'm forcing myself not to collect and sell junk. It's Witcher 3 all over again.

It's funny. Was watching a guy play and instead of taking in the different locations he just ran around into all the corners of the rooms to collect dildos and what not.

Is the reward system as bad as it is in witcher 3?
Early to report on that, but I got an "iconic" gun, which seems to be the equivalent of Witcher gear. You can upgrade it to new versions which replace the version you have, in addition to being able to mod it with scopes and silencers like you can with non-iconic gear.

I heard this game would mock you for creating a character with a circumsized dick. Is that true?

Ran over a cop 20 seconds after getting into a car, a new group of cops spawned right next to him.

Before that I tried to shoot some cops outside the apartment (after trying to shoot kids, turns out you can't target them and they're immune to flashbangs and gas nades) and it takes maybe 2 seconds before a new wave is sent, first two were manageable, third wave was a terminator and it killed me since I ran out of rifle ammo on the previous 4 cops.

Does anyone actually find the dildo overabundance funny? It was okay in the Saints Row ganes, but here, on office desks and every other shelf...

It feels like a planned april's fool gone wrong, where dildos were supposed to replace harmless clutter like coffee cups for the lulz...

The second someone hacks it in that you can play on the 2020 map this games gonna get interesting. The 2020 city looks so damn cool its all dark and horrible and blade runner.
They made the wrong game lol.

Can you ever see your carefully customized genitals in the sex scenes? Do you ever get to see them in-game? This 3D porn game is holding back on us.

You are game developer or something?
yes. 4.5 years in Mobile Games 6 Years training other developers and I was a modder on Deus Ex HDTP and New Vision.
Now I'm solo indie though its looking like I might have to do it part time instead of full time because lifes getting in the way the pandemic ruined my plans a bit.

Make good game, like Vince did Age of Decadence or Hamburg devs with 3 guys did Battle brothers.

Team of 3 or 4 is enough for great game.

Marketing/paying a lot for dev/Hollywood stars do not cost little/a lot of voice-acting etc.

Investment return is also much higher on the latter - player tracking tools have discovered that most people don't even finish, let alone replay games. Investing in C&C (especially Witcher 2 like branching in the middle chapter) simply doesn't pay off.
