Morrowind fanboys when their shitty game gets roasted for its brain dead gameplay,
:popamole:

non existent characters
This game wasn't about individual characters. The world was a character itself.

and copy and pasted locations.

Name a game with more unique locations and environments than morrowind.

COPE harder morrowind bitch boy bethesda cant write to save their shitty company their characters are always trash no matter the game.

Gothic 1, Planescape torment, Arx Fatalis, Vtmb, Fallout 1 and 2, Bloodborne etc. If you like giant mushrooms so much Super Mario will blow you mind.

This is Cyberpunk, not Morrowind thread. Poland's pride is no longer CDPR. You can take Marcin Iwinski's vegan sausage out of your mouth now

I heared you can serve Polish military as digital soldier defending CDPR's honor from critism online. Compare Cyberpunk with 18 years old games (it's legal to fuck Morrowind), and laugh at their animations and graphics

Honestly this seems like the only way for PS4 gen to actually be able to handle the game
Remove most traffic, lower view distance, shitty gfx like AA and reduce the texture and ligthing quality to Low
Maybe then people might be able to run the damn game on a 7/8 year old piece of hardware

Nah, this is a engine issue. Cp2077 is not pushing anything that has not been done before. The "open world" nature of the game is nowhere near to the complexity of GTAV/IV or even Saints Row and the visuals are... well besides polygon counts its no more impressive than the Witcher 3. The game is just poorly made and therefore it requires a lot of these drastic "tweaks" to run on older hardware. Besides the game was announced before even PS4Pro was officially announced so them optimizing the game for anything besides the base PS4 is retarded in and off itself.

Everything you said is true but I don't think anyone including CD Projekt had any idea how disappointing that particular generation of console hardware was going to be. Hence The Witcher 3's downgrades and the Bulldozer architecture almost turning AMD into a penny stock. Those consoles sucked even back when they first came out, unlike this generation which is significantly more powerful than the majority of current gaming PCs.

I have a lot of sympathy for anyone that had to develop an open world game like Cyberpunk under that spec sheet. The overwhelming majority succeeded but there were bound to be a couple failures, especially 6-7 years in.

That may be true but it changes nothing. They should have built the game around the hardware available not around some hypothetical next-gen upgrade that for all they knew might not even be out by the time the game releases.

Programming skill in AAA devs has been dropping for years. CDPR programmers are now worse then during Witcher3. Why? Good ones were too much white and male for WOKE CDPR

"Everything WOKE turns to shit"

I'm not so sure the coders of CDPR aren't predominantly white and male. The problem's likely uphill.

Its a multiplicative problem. Bad management only hires bad people and if you let it go for long enough you end up with a company staffed exclusively by clowns. I suspect that this is exactly what happened with CP2077 as whenever I learn something about its development I have to question the sanity of people making those decisions as even a RPG maker dev could see the idiocy of what they were doing.

PATCH 1.31
September 14, 2021

Patch 1.31 for Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, consoles, and Stadia. Here's the list of changes for this update.

Please note that the issues listed below did not affect all players.

Gameplay
  • Fixed an issue where after upgrading an item with a quest tag, the base version of said item wasn't removed from the inventory.
  • Fixed an issue where weapon reload speed perks slowed down reload time.
  • Corrected the height of the charged jump.
  • Adjusted enemies' stealth detection speed dependent on game difficulty.
  • V will no longer get stuck in falling animation when crashing a motorbike while also having "The Rock" perk.
Visual
  • Fixed an issue where roads after rain did not look wet, which was the result of ongoing work on the Wet Surfaces System. In 1.31 wet surfaces should look more detailed than they did even before the issue occurred.
  • Removed hair and/or eyebrows in cases where they were set to "off" in earlier game versions.
  • Fixed an issue where shooting with a Tech weapon caused a momentary blinding light.
  • With a Little Help from My Friends — fixed an issue where Carol was missing her tablet or sitting in the air during a scene.
UI
  • Returned missing descriptions in Overheat and Short Circuit quickhack tooltips.
  • Returned missing descriptions for Backpacker, Resist!, Osmosis and Footloose clothing mods.
Miscellaneous
  • Fixed an issue where players couldn't claim in-game Registration Rewards due to the error: "A network error has occurred. Please try again later".
Console-specific
  • [PlayStation] GPU memory optimization.

It was related to Sandevistan which is wacky as hell.

If you die, the effect persists on death animation and you have to wait or reload manually.
If you reload the game with Sandevistan your reload animations somehow became slower (maybe there is value overflow or the effect isn't disabled properly).
You will also activate it or Berserk when dropping carried body since they are not disabled (I guess this is for pistols but still dropping a corpse is a separate function).

Also it's been over 9 months and they still haven't updated their holo-crosshair textures. If you don't see it, I mean those white and yellow outlines, they are not supposed be there. The bug is even more noticable if PC lowers the gun, it's 3D for some reason.

By the way, notice the ammo count on this scope, it's microscopic.

It's also really easy to test. You enter one extreme value, then another, and see what it does to the reload speed.
Absolutely, but it's a small enough feature that you might not unit test it whenever you dig around that code, and it's also very easy to miss by general QA for ages. Shit like this sneaks into live code all the time, even literal rocket scientists can cock up the basics:

NASA lost its $125-million Mars Climate Orbiter because spacecraft engineers failed to convert from English to metric measurements when exchanging vital data before the craft was launched, space agency officials said Thursday.

I'm more worried about how CDPR rolled out 1.3 with broken surface reflections, seeing as visual presentation is about the only major thing CBP has going for it...

"Hey, boss, all of these fucking customers are criticising us for only having six hours of night in Night City, they say the game looks much better at night. Should we make nights last longer?"

"No. We should make nights look worse."

Who is even still playing this? I wanted to do a second playthrough and couldn't because the endless unskippable cutscenes became too tedious.
