Since MCA is out of Obsidian how many times do we have "Studio hires MCA just to not use 90% shit he has written"?
its like he made a monkey paw deal with a genie. Chris wished for steady work, so the genie granted his wish, but the downside is the projects always discard his work

Was cleaning up my google drive and found this (not made by me): compilation of all Chris Avellone comments in the Thread Chris Avellone on Pillars Cut Content, Game Development Hierarchies and More.

Sharing it in case anyone wants to save it.
Do you have the mp4 of someone singing Chris' may of rage posts set to You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon with the video just being Avellone strutting out onto the stage for some Dying Light promotion?
Nope, sorry. First time reading about it.

Has this been confirmed or is it just heavily implied?
He was in the photo in the studio meeting, no other reason for him to be there.
Not true he could have been the Doordash guy bringing them their food.
More seriously though, I feel like if this is 100% solid they would've announced it as I think Avellone's name still draws in a crowd.

Unless they're afraid of some disproven claims, at which point just man up. The dude won a court case. Stop using Twitter, it's mostly bots there anyways.

Massive respect to him for calling out Microsoft and Obsidian's bullshit.
Also he wanted to make a spinoff TES game. I get the strong impression he might have been competitive with Todd since they went to university together.
I love how pissed he got at Emil. Fuck you Emil.

Emil gets a lot of flak these days, but I think it is rather deserved.

Competitive with Todd?
Maybe.
But working on a game together?
Never...
Different game design philosophies.
Todd has a thing for streamlining and just getting rid of features in favor of more simplistic ones, while Chris is all about the writing and story.

Source? Context?
his twitter.

Basically proving that Bethesda fans are idiots. Emil was only agreeing with Tim without providing a context for why he was agreeing with him.
The correct point to make is that the story was satirical take on humanities need to destroy itself. Bethesda were the ones that introduced Liberty Prime and turned it into a stupid Communism vs Capitalism thing - of which Emil is guilty of. The original story has no good guys, it points out how stupid humans are that even with all the factions and ideologies war does in fact never change and the result is always the same no matter who's in charge.

Chris was not attacking Emil in that tweet.
Even so, I doubt they would see eye to eye on many game design decisions.

"Keep it simple, stupid."
-Emil himself commenting on Skyrim's design.
