"Keep it simple, stupid."
-Emil himself commenting on Skyrim's design.

This one is way worse.
"‘you can spend so much time writing wonderful stories and then have to watch as players tear out the pages to make paper airplanes instead of reading them" *adds skip dialogue option because reading is boring*

I love what Avellone wrote here on the subject of branching narratives.

I'm also rather a fan of the Fallout Bible, though almost all of its content has been rendered non-canon by Bethesda's acquisition of the Fallout franchise.

C0DA. I decide which parts of Bethesda games are canon (none of them).

Some people make art.

Others make Starfield.

What I always admired at Chris is his legitimate care for video games and openly discussing the games he worked on and topics related to video games.
Also him not being a pretentious and insufferable "auteur".
He just loves this.

It was clear they fucked them over, but he backed down once they asked him to work on Prey.

I bet that was Colantonio's initiative though. I have a hard time imagining how Toad would invite him to work on something after that. He seems to prefer surrounding himself with sycophants.
