I finished it. Sweet mother of mercy. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood. So much C&C, awesome music, the whole thing... few ending sequences made such an impression - even with the suspense being undercut by the game crashing and losing me an hour of progress right before the final battle. Took me ~55h, will play again. 11/10 Glorious.
How many chapter
6

:whatho:
I am like 50 hours in and still in chapter 2 with 150 dex archer lol.

By the way you should drink those perma attribute potions when you get them, they are seen as a bonus and don't affect levelling ones. I waited to hit 100 dex before i chugged them, big regret. Also alchemy 3 is super expensive, like 2500 or something....sad.

At what alchemy level you can brew perma bonus potions? I amassed a nice amount of rare herbs and i have money for alchemy learning from that guy who made your bros medicine.

Where did you guys get recipes for perma potions? I cannot find them anywhere

Also, I decided to try apprenticing at the blacksmith, and it's actually a pretty good money maker so long as you have the materials to smith. He buys all self-crafted weapons at 50% price, and a regular, tier 1 sword can easily be worth 450 gold

You need the third level/master alchemy to do perma potions.

You can apparently learn it for free (gold wise) from the alchemist in the city if you apprentice with him, but he hasn't yet given me the option. I have an option where my character asks if the plants we planted have finished growing yet, so I assume it's time or progress gated in someway.

Tempted to just go buy it from Bodowin, but then I could have apprenticed with someone else and made more money. Alchemist one seems to be the worst for making money.

Also in regards to perma potions (and food), check every vendor in the city. The main city alchemist sells about 3 of each perma potion (including life and DR ones).

I've also noticed some of the taverns/food shops sell dragonroot food which has the same +3 strength bonus. All super expensive, but gold starts to be less of an issue as you progress.

I know, though i'm in no rush. I have 90 strength and no reason to increase it so far. Can't find 1h weapon that needs more than 90 str anyway, and i've searched most of the map. But i brewed a bunch of damage resistance potions from aloe that grows in troll shit. Bought some too.

Yeah, they sell a lot of them. And perma food too for different stats. Problem are the gargantuan prices, so i doubt you could buy every single one of them. Maybe i'll jew enough gold when i get to the later chapters to get the ones i want at least.

Yeah, I doubt you're supposed to be able to afford everything. So far I've bought all the strength potions sold by the city alchemist and one of the DR potions.

In all honesty, it's kind of neat that there is a constant and rewarding gold sink in this mod.

LP costs for learning magic circles are just insane:

1st circle - 20 points
2nd circle - 30 points
3rd circle - 40 points
4th circle - 50 points

What the actual fuck is this?!

What are the high level spells like? Do they justify the cost?

I've not really paid any attention to magic in this mod, other than using a couple of scrolls.

At least i wasn't forced to buy armors for the price of a small army like in G2 yet. But it's good to keep some jew gold for armor upgrades.

Mwahahah good luck to all of you pussy ass mages out there. Meanwhile i'm going to conquer the land by the sword in my hand!

I'm looking at the table that Tosiek363 linked. I've only learned the second magic circle myself and it felt extremely expensive LP wise already, I was hoping that the third circle will be the last one, but if LP cost just keeps increasing like that, then you don't really have a room to learn anything else.

Let's see here. To learn master level alchemy and the fourth circle of magic you have to spend 200 fucking LPs! That is 20 fucking levels worth of experience! Add mana training here and that's it, you have no LPs to spare at all. notpl I assume you talk to the developers, right? Can you please tell them that they need to cut LP requirements for learning magic circles in half? Because these costs are outright retarded.

As for the runes, I only have first circle ones, I know where some second circle ones are, but it requires fighting through frogmen and I don't feel ready for that yet. Here are some of more notable runes that I've found:

Gothic2-2021-12-17-20-30-56-28.png

By the way, can anybody please tell me how do I acquire water mage jewelry set, the one that restores mana? If I'm not going to get enough LP to do weapon training, might as well try and rush that mana regen stuff.

Nevermind, I've read that polish table:
1) One of the rings is in the sewers in the bandit chest.
2) The second ring and the amulet are sold somewhere in the Old City.

Ahhhh level 6 if you have the gibz. But in reality around 20-25 levels was mine, seems reasonable.

Do you know how to enable Polish text and VO for standalone installation from GOG? I've downloaded this, applied latest G11 patch and game is Eng with no VO

Are spells that weak that you need to beeline for 4th circle rather than leaving that for endgame? Also how does the LP cost compare to other skills? I'm level 17 and haven't really invested almost anything into combat yet, so idk what the costs are

I believe that you have to chose polish during the installation.

Fairly sure the merchants guild quartermaster can teach blacksmithing, so I assume the city guards have a similar NPC for that faction.

Well i haven't bothered much with magic, but it seemed very expensive. Every circle have number of books that each have higher number lp needed, also you have to find them. So for example to learn first circle you need to study two books each costing i believe 10 or 15 lp,for the second circle you need to study 3 books that cost 20-30 lp each ,ect ect. Soooo in the end it is just cost far too much to be viable. On top of that you have spend a lot of lp for mana and the amount of max mana that you could get is limited. Also i believe that there is a bug where you loose max mana if you read books and shit that should give you mana,at some point i ended up with 4 max mana and had to cheat to get more mana so i could use the teleportation spell or some utility.
