So I've never had a corrupted save in any Gothic game, but I still keep a ton of saves out of habit.

It's a bug of the DX11 renderer, deactiviting it fixes the black screen.

I use a hammer called Raven's Beak that does 130 damage, found it in a cave with some shadowbeasts. A the moment this is the strongest str based 1 handed weapon i managed to find in chapter 3.

That name sounds familiar. I think that hammer was in Gothic 2.

Да,from time to time it tries shit but smack him around. To be honest most of the problems that people have are because of modern drivers and shit that devs push out. I have no problem running newest games with me 580 and 10 year old drivers lol. Videa card devs fill their drivers with all kind of spyware that fucks up the games.

Yo it seems like you get to chose between two captains in guard,sword and crossbow ones. But i remember that there was a third option. How do you get it and what is the difference between the captain's quests?

Cool little discovery I made: if you attack an NPC alone and knock him/her out without anyone noticing, it won't be reported as a crime and when the NPC wakes up he still has his normal dialogue options, unlike Gothic 2 where they tell you to piss off if they remember you knocking them out unprovoked.

Got some nice free XP by ambushing farmers in their beds at night and attacking lone wandering citizens in alleyways where nobody else could watch.

The quests swordsman gave me were about finding some book about nordmarian magic ore weapons, and the second one was about finding a bunch thieves and smugglers and confiscating stolen magic ore. Both were kinda shit actually.

Unless they are immortal and beat the shit out of you. Also you don't get punished if beat poor people and arabs,you could go savage on the harbour and all the plebs in it. I didn't do it because of the immortals,it is pain in the arse to reload.

It's very weird, it only opens if you read the map right next to the door.

LoL ore deposits refill themself when you enter a new chapter,make sure you get your ore nuggets every chapter. Not sure if it works in the gold mine,too shitty design to bother checking out.

Summon wolf is... way more effective than I was expecting. Tanking 3 snappers no problem and seemingly winning.

Also found a dueling sword (I think 120 dex/150 damage) in a chest in the city writer's house.

So, I'm on the City Guard quest Missing In Action and found Roderich's Seal on a dead body. I couldn't find anything else in the area, so I went back to the city and Roderich will not talk to me about the quest. I even searched the troll and shadowbeast caves in that valley area where I found the seal and found an awesome sword, but made no more progress on the quest. Am I missing something or is this bugged?

Someone told me about,one of the other guards,but i don't remember it clearly. Thought that it will come up later or something. I think it was about doing quests with other armour on than the guard one.

There is a door at the other pond. You are the wrong one. From the dark wood,the place you were with the hunter, you have to go left,next to the road that goes up and above the place you are now.
