Thing is, heavy high DR armor is accessible very late in the demo, so it doesn't seems viable, no. Also, as was established, str by itself is not significant enough stat even for melee builds.
Not in the demo. you can't infer conclusions based on the demo; it's like high INT character; it is inviable in the demo, but will be powerful in the complete game.

First enemy is too hard!!!

It's really hard to kill very first opponent. My character barely does any damage and misses a lot. I speced him for sharp shooting and range dmg. The first enemy does 12-24 dmg almost every turn. Ridiculous and overpowered. You guys better fix it, or I'm not even gonna bother buying this.

The first enemy should always be easy to kill (Game Rules 101).

Why did he stand up in the first place?

For example PC sitting behind the crate, then melee guy attacked him so he is standing now, melee guy dies but char still standing and will stand tall if I wont move him.

If you haven't yet, you can use a meatshiled.

Yeah, but I want t try solo. I have 3 poor lads at that point and 2 low-grade gas and 1 smoke.
For now even gas grenades didn't help much lol died on next turn.

Some off topic questions

- will the followers of the finished game have non combat skills?
Yes, absolutely. They will be very useful outside of combat (skills, connections, unique ways to handle side quests, etc).

- will the wasteland offer super rare weapons/armor for builds that pass the skill checks?
To some degree, although it's not the weapons that are the real prize, but the energy ammo and Earth-made grenades.

But you've asked using beta context. Don't you want to take into consideration that by the time game will actually be "shipped" the balance might be quite different? As for Int builds - I highly doubt that they will be any powerful solo wise in the actual game either.

if it actually matters and animations are already present, can't u allow players to stand/crouch with button? or it doesn't matter?

In full game I guess it will be used fo valuable skills which are rare to use and as such hard to develop, like biotech I guess.
Perhaps, anything is possible. But I did the math a few pages back and it doesn't seem very likely.

I see now. The stances are purely cosmetic and do not influence combat mechanics, but I've made them sit down at the end of the turn if the enemy is gone.

Maybe boost STR a bit? It seems very underpowered compared to others (except INT, but I expect INT to be important for non-combat shit)

STR and INT builds are late bloomers. By the time you put your hands on heavy armor, you already invested too much on evasion in the demo. Think about AoD and spear builds. They are awful at the beginning but become unstoppable by mid-game and they are certainly the most reliable build on DR. You would need to do other quests and acquire more stuff when the game is released to make a proper judgment. To improve one stat now will have unintended consequences.

Supply me with tactics and whatnot for fight with Factory people (4th) as blunt melee guy, cause I don't see way for improvement.
Is it wrong feats or stats? Feats are Fast Runner and Basher/ Gladiator, stats are 6/6/10/10. Should I have more defence maybe?

My fist build in full game will be 10 Con 10 Int one lol.

How many quests will you have in the complete game? The dynamic will be different.

Haven't finished yet, but seems that most difficult fight for a charizma char (9, shoud've picked 10 for lulz) really is the second one :D Well, that or maybe Claiton (guy with damaged energy pistol). I mean, Big Jim died on the second try? Come on...

New pre-positioning is kicking ass and making rifle much more viable.

Well, yes, stacking evasion is the key imo. Did you try picking different targets at the start? Also, since you have 10 per you can try pick for now something like tough bastard or true grit and pick some for offence later on.

Yeah but it's not a fact that you'll manage to compensate shit ap or shit defence in general or shit thc by doing unavailable quests for a dumb kill machine and raising skills just a bit higher.

I dropped charisma run somewhere near end because it turned out to be the easiest one. 4 str hammer 9 charisma warhammer chaplain build. billy and blonde just always hit/crit even with smg from afar with bursts. even low dex retard downed at least 1 enemy with a mace.

INT will make you learn things faster, get more implants, weapons and whatnot. You can then build from that and become a unstoppable killing machine.

Finished solo hammer run. AoD & DR habits die hard.

Distortion field is awesome. Implants are gonna make constitution a very powerful choice (+1 to different stats & upgrades? FUCK YEAH!). Big Jim fight was my favorite - nice mixture of ranged & melee goons.

Wishlist:
press F1-F4 to select your team members
faster animation speed slider
gadget activation hotkey
delete characters and/or multiple saves at once
the ability to loot all corpses at once after end of combat
