So Type A is supposed to be the "non-anime" version? It looks like just a different style of anime.
if you dont want it, say you dont want it in the poll. dont make excuses please. its unbecoming.
that aside, i would like to watch these anime that have this style. could you please share? i honestly think its the most stylish blobber out there.

Would it make you happy if Elminage Gothic and Dark Spire are removed, even though they are non-anime and look just like non-JRPG's?

I just think that Stranger of Sword City is pretty much a typical JRPG with anime graphics. Therefore it belongs in that list, if anyone is up to creating one.

Ultimas are not 1st Person and most of them are not even remotely a blobber.
Picture%201.jpg

Which Ultimas have that? And what percentage of the game are the blobber dungeons there?

...as does Elminage :argh:

Elminage is not on the list. Elminage Gothic is non-anime.
This is pure bullshit and you know it. A blobber poll with no Generation Xth, Stranger in Sword City, Labyrinth of Touhou, Zanki Zero, Labyrinth of Refrain, Yumina and Rance games is fucking useless. Those are among the best in the genre, the art style is just a small factor.

If you insist on this i'll just make a different poll with all of them combined.

Also also, list is missing several important Real-Time titles like Anvil of Dawn, Mordor: Depths of Dejenol, Battlespire, Lands of Lore 2, The Legacy and the Elvira games.

Aren't all of those single-person (non-blobber) RPG's?

Mordor you can start single-player, but you won't likely finish the lowest levels of the game if you don't build a strong party (the party building mechanism isn't that obvious and some people don't realize its there)

There is a good reason we have a JRPG weaboo section that is separate from General RPG Discussion. If you want to mix them, go ahead. There are many though who do not like JRPG's at all and for whom the anime lollies in their RPG's aren't a "small factor".

just be honest and say you dont want it rather than making up excuses.

there are a lot of shitty jrpgs out there. there are a lot of shitty western rpgs too.
blobbers are by far what they do most competently. another reason is that what you see in the west is what is popular or "hip" in market, thus you get call of duty equivalents to west

Where did I say that you told me to remove them? I asked you a question: Whether removing them would be a good idea.

just be honest and say you dont want it rather than making up excuses.

Of course I don't want anime RPG. And many others do not care about them either, as the separate forum for weaboo JRPG's shows.

Nobody is stopping you from creating a list of JRPG's in the weaboo subforum. Instead you keep whining and pseudo-moralizing in a thread about non-JPRG's.

Anything else that is missing? Also, if someone wants to compile a separate list of JPRG's, go ahead.

Minions of Mirth (2005)

It is not what people would expect from a blobber but it is still a damn good one that I really love. Only other one I know of that is not on the list is The Quest which I find a bit meh, but it is ok.

A single character game cannot be a blobber. Blobber means you have a party that moves and fights "in one blob" (no separate tactical movements for each character).

A: Add X pls it fits the bill
B: Would you be happy if i remove Y and Z which are in same classification?
A: No? why would i ask you to add X otherwise?
B: I asked you whether its a good idea or not

Crystals of Arborea should go to the tactical combat category.
Also add "Gold Box series:" line above them because their series/chronological order clashes with the alphabetical order of the rest of the list.

Are you ok with adding a few more "tags" (like the roguelike one) to point out things like party splitting (apparently CoA also had this; don't remember using it myself but it's shown in the video on the linked website), grid vs free-roam (listed for some games in that google docs spreadsheet already) or real time outside of combat for turn-based games (because it's fucking annoying when you want to play something with pure turn-based experience)?

You should add Minions of Mirth though. It is a blobber by your definition. There is an ios blobber that was pretty good too but I forgot the name of it. It was similar to EOTB.

I'd rather stick to the most important information, so that the list is easy to scan and doesn't become overloaded.

Dude, a third-person single character game is not a blobber by any definition.
It isn't single character, it is a blobber. You have an entire party in your one main avatar. And you can play it first person. Although camera view should be irrelevant. Also Gods Lands of Infinity is not first person during combat. It is not even a blobber during combat, your party splits up. It is no more blobber than Final Fantasy.

Okay, I included it.

Moved it to the Tactical Combat Blobbers. Thanks.

Don't listen to the dumbfuck. While camera switches to third person in combat in GLOI, there's no combat movement/positioning beside the typical blobber first/second row.
First off, fuck you autist. Also the game and the combat is just like Final Fantasy. Do you think that is a blobber too?

Putting a game with Final Fantasy-type combat into the tactical combat blobber category is definitely the wrong choice
