This clown show will go down in history as the worst flop in video game history. And you have to remember guys, that Sony 'bought' the studio a few years ago. So it isn't just a $200 Million+ loss, it's far more than that when you take into account the marketing budget and the cost to buy the dev in the first place. They probably spent half a billion dollars on this slop.

Also the cost of running servers too. They no doubt bought enough thinking it was going to be a big hit.

I was about to post that $400m tweet. That's a lot of money and it doesn't even include the cost of the studio. I said it a number of pages back, but I can't see Sony releasing another game with “progressive” character designs again. You can't just forget about a failed project that likely cost close to half a billion dollars and eight years of development time.

Other game publishers will probably be more wary, too, though not entirely discouraged.

There are plenty of projects which are too late on their production cycle to be fixed.

I doubt anyone in the development team saw the "progressive" character designs as something that should be fixed.

Yep. It'll be interesting to see how Dragon Age: The Veilguard fares. Based on what I read recently, the tranny director on that game appears to be using the game as a vessel to push pro-trans and LGBT messaging.

Sony still have their anticapitalist shooter Fairgame$ coming out:

Big problem is that they hired people to make this slop who will never agree to include normal, attractive characters. Even if they wanted to dial back the retardation at this point, the studios wouldn’t agree to it.

According to Colin Moriarty on that podcast episode, Concord was Hermen Hulst's “baby” and it was championed by him internally. Hulst is currently co-CEO of SIE.

He was also the head of Guerilla Games, right?. I suppose we're going to see even more astroturfing for Horizon in the future.
