Considering how little Microsoft thought of Baldur's Gate 3, are Obsidian/inXile screwed?

Could D&D mean a physical release while Hub means Game Pass only?
No, the header clearly states this is the gamepass release window, so it has to be something regarding timing. Acronym googling is not helpful with things like "death and dismemberment" or "decontamination and decommissioning" or "dinner and dance".
X-box Marketing term "Day And Date".
Means it is on Gamepass the same day it is released.
There's a difference between rating BG3 as niche and throwing it into the same negotiation budget bucket as this:

Pretty sure they mean this:
The re-named MudRunner sequal.

Although it would be quite enjoyable if MS was paying 5 million for some 3 year old shovelware shooter.

But companies like Microsoft are not stupid and they know which companies are worth owning and which companies dont align with there vision
Sorry to burst your bubble, but companies especially really large ones have an infinite potential for stupidity. What they coast by on is size, once a company has reached a certain volume they can go on for a long time even when making lots of dumb decisions

Well that makes more sense. Google was completely useless in this instance. Billions spent on machine learning development and it outputs blade runner movie clips.... Guess we're going to get judgement day from the machines not because Skynet wants freedumb, but because some neural network will mistake "order lunch for all" with "order: launch all".

EDIT: S.H.O.D.A.N. rated this "funny"

We talking specifically about Microsoft and its acquisitions over the last 30 years. Here is a long list of those acquisitions and many of these companies were and are very good acquisitions that have increased Microsoft revenue and overall software influence

Yeah, they're so damn competent they're still massively trailing Sony after 4 console generations, despite throwing money around like crazy. Add to that Sony's overall financial woes, fuck up with PS3's pants-on retarded inner architecture (which made it harder to develop games for), Japan's ever so declining importance for the console market, higher price of PS5 than Xbox Series X, and they STILL can't stop losing to Sony.

Yes but Microsoft is not dominant in every global IT or gaming sector it operates in and this is something we should be happy about because they already have the OS monopoly. So the fact that Sony sells more consoles is a good thing because competition creates innovation and means companies don't get complacent or arrogant

As much as I like Microsoft I dont want them to own every market share they part of

They are probably screwed because Microsoft has no passion for old school PC gaming and just want to own and manage everything in the most sterile and corporate way possible. But "second-run" just means they don't have the first bite of the cherry when it comes to their game pass and consoles. Something that launches first on steam provides them with no dopamine.
