"Them girls are breaking into my tree-house and it's no fair! I hung up the 'no gurlz alowed!' sign!"
"The skilled craftsmen that came together to create the last 3 games I enjoyed are increasingly being replaced by diversity hires that might replace the characters, story, plot and world building I generally liked with social and political signalling melodrama and create something I increasingly have no interest in or respect for like Twilight, Nuu-Star Trek or Nuu-Star Wars and ultimately turn into a company whose games I usually ignore because they lack quality, originality, substance and soul and are unrecognizable from their previous output, like BioWare."

Deus ex is not cyberpunk. It revolves around the plotline about my humanity and illuminati cliches. Cyberpunk2077 as i seen it is not cyberpunk as well only who played the pen and paper know what is the true essence of Cyberpunk 2020 settings. Cd project cyberpunk is just a shooting galore with no lethality and edgy written lines. Cyberpunk is more grounded in reality be in a firefight is lethal and usually can cause your character to die easily. THere is still edginess for example gangs and stuff but those are not the mover and usually take a third role in a plontline because they are in the long term irrelevant. The big players are the corporation now there is where the danger is.

Cyberpunk is about the intrigue and the survival in a society plagued by macrocorporation where people don't give a damn and having implants is not a scandal instead having implants and branded by macrocorporations is a sign of notoriety.

What do you think spamming a bunch of Linkedin profiles proves? There are still dozen of people working at Blizzard/BioWare/Obsidian and other companies from back in the day. Do you think they're the same companies as back then, especially after several growth phases and ownership changing hands? Do they produce the same kind and quality of products as they did even 10 years ago?

In 2015 CDPR had like ~230 employees working on Witcher 3: https://www.gry-online.pl/S018.asp?ID=1132
In 2020 it's over 1100: https://www.cdprojekt.com/en/wp-con...4/sprawozdanie-fy-2019-en-preview07-small.pdf

What you might also want to consider for your argument is that Witcher 3 released in 2015, over 5 years ago and the first Cyberpunk 2077 Teaser came out in 2013 over 7 years ago and the entire concept, direction and art style for the game has changed considerably several times since then:

Spamming a bunch of employees hired 5-6 years ago as an argument of seniority based on their previous work isn't really as compelling an argument as you believe it to be.

I will judge that by myself when the game releases.

Spamming a bunch of employees hired 5-6 years ago as an argument of seniority based on their previous products isn't really as strong as you believe it to be.
Ye just ignore all the people in top positions that work there for 10 years+. Those people that work there for 6 years+ worked on the majority of Witcher 3 and all the expansions.

The project began with 150 employees, eventually growing to over 250 in-house staff. Fifteen hundred people were involved in the production globally.

But there's a good chance that at least a third of that 1500 are non-binaries + otherkin. That would put the number at least 4500.

Actually, that brings up a point. If we're going to endlessly cater to the whacked and deranged members of society, why not just apply for a job at a (very progressive!) software company and then claim multiples and demand that each person in your head space deserves their own salary? Excellent way to profit on the sympathies of others.

I expect this from the CDPR crowd, and look forward to seeing level design credits by names such as 'chicken wrangler', 'stranded gray alien being', and 'displaced atomic trans-neuro time traveler.' Of course, it will all be Polish, so most of us won't give a shit.

Now you're quoting Wikipedia in an attempt to prove something that wasn't even asserted? Why didn't you quote that paragraph as a whole at least?
The project began with 150 employees, eventually growing to over 250 in-house staff. Fifteen hundred people were involved in the production globally. While the game is based on Sapkowski's novels, his involvement with the game was limited to the creation of its in-game map.[42] It was localised in 15 languages, with a total of 500 voice actors.[43][44][45]
I'm sure hundreds of translators and over 500 voice actors "involved in the production globally" had just as much influence over the product as the full employment core programming and development group.

Same as you giving me the number of all employees of Cdpr group.

"In a question to CD Projekt Red on whether this would at all hamper the development or vision of Cyberpunk 2077, the development team informed that it “will not affect the pace of work.” More importantly, they dropped some interesting information: the team for the game is now over 400 people."

Said this before, but unlike Siege of Dragonspear or whatever a strong portrayal of deviant gerbil fuckers actually makes a ton of sense for Cyberpunk's setting. There's gonna be some tranny in the game with a mechanical dick that glows pure blue neon and you guys are gonna freak the fuck out but it makes perfect sense for the world they created and I'm gonna get a kick out of it. Putting all political crusades aside... the religious nutters and the men's rights dudes and white nationalists blah blah blah... it makes sense for the Cyberpunk world to be the harem of deviancy you fear.

Let it be a futuristic Weimar, not some female empowerment fantasy.

All this talk about realism is pretty silly. Cyberpunk 2020 literally has 'rule of cool' as a game mechanic. It's not a super-serious setting with deep political and social themes.

You're supposed to do stuff because it looks cool and awesome, not because it makes sense.

I think CP2020 is/was also social commentary on the contemporary, superficial and shallow world of the 1980's America and a peek to what our future would look like as well.

In many ways it actually came true (even the pink/orange/turquoise mohawks etc.), even more so than CP2020 predicted (time people spend on the internet and always connected). Just look at the selfie/instagram/youtube culture of today, people are more superficial and craving for attention than ever, so much that they post fake pictures/videos of their lives on the net to gain money, fame, recognition etc.

We live in a society where numerous people have DIED because of taking selfies in dangerous places, that's more "STYLE OVER SUBSTANCE" than anything I can think of in the actual game.

I see what you're saying but at least from my standpoint it's not freaking out or anything based in ignorance or fear. In fact, I know there's a very good chance that this future world will have these components, so fear vs acceptance isn't even the issue. I just enjoy mocking it because of the silly idea that a human being slapping a blue neon robo-cock on is going to change anything but aesthetics. Just another re-arranging of deck chairs on the ole' USS Titanic.

But I do agree that the great freak out will happen post-release. I guess if nothing else it will spur some interesting talks about transhumanism and cybernetics. I'd rather at least a coffee t'awk chat about it than total silence until Bill Gates or Tim Cook comes out with your corporate sponsored/government mandated laser scan chip or home AI suicide assistant. If the future MUST happen, then let us at least halfway stumble into it on our own two feet instead of being led blindfolded into a dark room by our glorious leaders. Even the illusion of choice is better than no choice at all.

they're going to make it impossible to roleplay as anything other than a fem-dick sucking simp, and pedestrians will be immortal/jump out of the way like in the german version of mafia. mark my fucking words.

You know, it would be cool to be able to shoot people in the crowd, if only for the possibility to get shoot down by the police/gangsters/whoever holds a gun in the crowd. But with the gunplay being as weak as I remember it, I don't hold my breath for gunfights being in any way exciting.

If Cyberpunk is a genre that's invented today the whole Codex and rightards will mock it for having modern gender concept with all the transhumanism and cybernetic stuffs.

The only reason it is acceptable (barely) now is the fact that it is an old genre and we can't mock them. After all, it is the new thing that is problematic.

Lol Codex.

If they force you to be a cuck dumbass or feminist then I'll complain about that with the rest of you. I like choices and roleplaying in my roleplaying games. However nothing makes me assume that based on CDPR's history, and a photo of a bunch of women doesn't either. Have you ever dated women? At least half of them are deviant and submissive cock receptacles who want a "real man" to pin them down and caveman style fake rape them. Same thing with the "diversity department" or whatever, that's a lawsuit prevention mechanism every corporation that isn't run by retards has nowadays. You guys are so fucking sensitive you get sand up your vaginas at the hint of anything you might be opposed to. Just calm the fuck down and wait to see what the game's like.

I can't help but laugh at some of the bozos here who don't realise that the entire genre and literature movement of "cyberpunk" was created by very liberal-left college progressives as an antithesis to traditional science-fiction literature that young writers like Gibson, Sterling etc. resented as too conservative. :)
