I mostly liked it.

The news is that Braindances will function as a series of collectibles which form a quest and most probably end with some kind of ingame reward.

I don't get them presentations as of late. Why would you sit developers in front of a camera and give them 90% of the air time? It could work if they would actually go in-depth on their process or mechanics, but instead, it's just a bunch of buzzwords and people being overly-excited about stuff they heard (and said) a million times before.

Gameplay looks like ass. If I wanted to watch a movie, I'd just watch a movie. It's OK, if I want to enjoy cybercuck '77 I'll just watch an LP on youtube, idiots.

Trigger is a weird choice for Anime. Madhouse would be way better pick.
Or just go bonkers and hire Oshi so everyone could at least fap to it.

The game certianly looks good but ''most gameplay'' looks like a cutscene walking or in a car looking at something.

Madhouse nowdays is no more.. Trigger isn't much better nowdays tho. Most quality staff is gone.

Bones , Wit or if you want to go experimental , Shaft would be good choice imo.

I still think Witcher 3 is the best RPG made since Baldur's Gate 2 and the best game in the window between 2001 and 2015.

However, I am not a CDPR fanboy outside of W3 alone and sadly Cyberpunk is shaping to be an astonishingly disappointing game. Nothing I've seen so far makes me want to play this game. I see elements and glimpses of genres and game direction practices I despise and I would like to say it makes me sad, but I don't care, really.

"Gameplay" will be the shooting and the elaborate melee animations of slicing people with your augs. The rest will be free roam in the city and cinematic experience

Shootouts with gamepad will always look shitty. I really don't get why they don't show it with proper mouse and keyboard, the way god wants us to play shooters.

Okay and the fist fights also look as dumb as in Witcher 3. Won't be an important part of the gameplay though i reckon.

No, they said it wouldn't be a collectible. Or is that what you're assuming because of their suspiciously specific denial?

Geoff said they are like "a series of collectibles" in that they all lead to unlocking more story/lore/other shit

General impressions I've parsed through are that the game excels at building a lively, dense and detailed world that makes you hungry to explore its stories. Each of the starting stories are distinct and quests are said to offer a wide web of C&C. They were more mixed on the inventory design and driving which are said to need more work. From what I've seen, the combat doesn't impress me because the enemy AI is braindead and nothing appears to really challenge you (probably because they're playing on low difficulty). Basically a hybrid of GTA, DX:HR, System Shock and Hitman. So far, just sounds like the typical CDPR game outside of the shift in style, and I wonder if people will be buying into it without the shiny veneer.

It's a big assumption:

They said there is a story behind the braindance sequences. I am assuming there will be a fairly big number of them scattered throughout the span of the game - both spatial and timespan.

If there will be multiple braindances available at the same time, this means the player will be able to play them without a specified order. This in turn means that the clues that the player has to collect will work like pieces of a puzzle and won't be related to one another, but gathering a certain sets of clues will unlock a respective part of the overarching quest. Therefore, collectibles.

I imagine it like the clues you collect to unlock witcher gear, but taken on a bigger scale.
