Cyberpunk 2077 Pre-Release Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

I find this reddit thread relevant and wish people would have to sign such a form before p(l)aying.

How the RPG mechanic impacts the other gameplay mechanics (including gunplay) is an important consideration for me.

Meanwhile, the cyberpunk aestethic connoiseurs and the npc density experts maintained that:

"The game isn't dark enough"

"It's a shooter, not an RPG. OMG, here is a screenshot of their twitter where it says action adventure game, I got mad analytical skills!!"

"Herp-derp, streets are not crowded"

"The music is something-or-another, not cyberpunk, sci-fi nigger simulator"

Refuted on all accounts.

Big surprise, CDPR know how to make games better than the "experts" commenting from the sidelines.

I still imagine it will be quite a buggy mess at release, but it will get there.

It is not a AAA shooter with deep gunplay mechanics and intuitive aiming.
This is an RPG, with guns in it.

It is not a high spec driving/racing game with dynamic drifting and G-force physics.
This is an RPG, with driving in it.

It is not a dating simulator with softcore porn.
This is an RPG, with sex in it.

It is not a stealth game built entirely around the mechanic.
It is an RPG, with stealth in it.

"Remember, everything in this game is shit because it's an RPG, so don't complain you pleb!!"

Then you see their "rpg" elements like +1% to evasion (like in this latest trailer) and turns out the rpg part is shit too.

So when all the elements in the game are shit what you do? Consume!

With Deus Ex people forget about it since nobody ever plays full rambo, due to the actual gunplay being 100% avoidable thanks to all the much more fun stealth tools, and on the highest difficulty level direct combat is really undesirable due to the lethality. The horrible gunplay is basically punishment for not playing the game right.

I kind of doubt this will be the case with Cyberpunk, unless it has shit like the tranquilizer crossbow or riot prod, but who knows.
