I wouldn’t be surprised if CP2077 ended up in the marketing textbooks. Regardless of how the game itself will turn out the marketing campaign has been pretty much flawless and absolutely unparalleled in the field of video gaming.

The original music performed by artists that aren’t complete no names, fucking Keanu (old Wing Commander games had Mark Hamill though this is hardly comparable), the PnP game that goes along with it, all this shit is completely off the charts.
The fuck? Is shitting out a cheap pnp ruleset for your games the norm now? Who even plays this shit? Same with the PoE pnp.

I keep having the impression that the game's development re-started from scratch like 3 years ago. You can't spend 8 years in development and have such unpolished product unless you restarted everything down the middle. The staggering difference in tone between the initial teaser and the first real trailer suggests as much.

Exactly and this gives me a lot of DA2 vibes. A game that attempt to be absolutely edgy and cool but that in the end will be pretty mediocre.

I sincerely doubt it was in development even half that time, "serious" development probably started only after everyone rested for a year after Witcher 3's crunch.

The game was announced in 2013, but that doesnt mean it has been in development since then. By that time Twitcher 3 was being cooked, and it last dlc got released in 2016. My bet is that this game hasn't been developed for more than four years.

Most of the leaked footage is ps4 version, which is so shit, they delayed game 2 times to move to next gen and not give shit about trying to fit game into that trashfire. Consoles suck.

Game looks jank as fuck nonetheless, better to wait 1 year before playing.

Apparently the main story is like 22 hours long, lol

This may not mean much, Skyrim's main story was similar, had almost no side quests, and that didn't stop people from playing it for an absurd amount of hours.

Something tells me this isn't going to have 300 different caves to shoot and loot.

Devs always say that development really only started in 2016 after Blood and Wine was finished, the rumours even say that the people they hired for Cyberpunk in 2013 were moved to to The Witcher 3 during development. Which lead to the 2016 reboot and he game we are getting now.

Well, there's also GTA V. It did not have any story whatsoever, no buildings to enter, and stupid activities like yoga, and somehow people played that for dozens of hours as well.

And then there'll be Cyberpunk Online, just like V got GTA Online.

BTW, does anyone have any idea as to exactly why, is this game so overhyped? And supposedly the greatest and biggest game evar?

I think not even Red Dead Redemption 2 was even 10% as hyped, and that was coming from every normie's favorite Rockstar Games.

It's actually not even close.

You do know that Cyberpunk 2020 is a classic, several decade old PnP system, don't you? It was not created for the game, like with PoE.

TemplarGR was correct when he said Starfield will blow this out of the water.
I doubt that a non-existing game can blow anything out of the water.

Reviews embargo ends today I think, so at least we will know what journos have to say about this thing

These days I only look at scores to confirm my own biases against the cunts who call themselves game "journalists".

What will be great about this is how they ignore the multitude of bugs and give it 11/10... it needs to surpass The Last of Us 2 which as we all know was a solid 10.

Then someone like me will point out on reddit that Prey was given 4/10 by IGN for a bug experienced by the reviewer, and I'll be called "far right".

'Butthurt' tags to the left pls gents.

You can get more valid critique of the game from local deranged users than "critics". One did openly admit that they get ''paid' in multiple copies of the games (that they sell later) and give 10/10s to keep them coming.
