Broseph you are butthurt both figuratively and literally, homosexual. This game is not perfect, it has a long ways to go, but the hate it gets here is LOL worthy. This game has deeper and more complex system going on than your fag D&D simulator Baldur's Gate 3. Prove me wrong. YOU CAN'T

Great. Everytime my druid uses a werebear skill, it triggers some sort of PTSD. This class was already unappealing and now this BS.

I watched the video about the season, lets see if I understood about this seasonal stuff...
Step 01: You kill generic mob with special VFX on, not new mob with new behaviors, mind you, just new VFX
Step 02: You kill the same mob again but stronger
Step 03: You get a caged heart.
Step 04: You slot caged heart to gain power.
Step 05: You farm those caged hearts but no new tough content where those hearts might be actually useful for something during the season.
Step 06: Season ends
Step 07: All the hearts you farmed disappear even from your Eternal Realm character.

The question I ask is why? This seems like a hamster wheel without even the cheese. There are some youtubers coping hard with retarded shit like "It is about the journey not the destination", nigga, killing the same shit but with temporary equipment isnt a journey. What is bizarre because the Eternal Realm stuff, isnt it supposedly be the place you dump the players broken builds so they dont destroy the game balance in time? What is the point of it then if you are going to delete those builds anyway?

You can thank Path of Exile and any other game that hopped on this "delete everything and start over" train. They've been doing that for a minute and the retarded NPCs we call modern gay-mers seem to just love stepping back on that hamster wheel as most hamsters tend to do... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you managed to do the capstone (imo WT3 was a lot more hassle), there's no reason to turn back to a lower world tier because you want to upgrade to ancestral items.
Get a weapon that's up to snuff and you're back to killing again, cause pushing those paragon points will not necessarily result in any sort of meaningful power boost,
unless you're close to a cluster of goodies.

If you're still feeling underpowered at this point, you might want to look into optimizing the paragon board, specifically the rare glyphs.
Leveling them up is a stupid grind through nightmare dungeons, but there's a good bunch of damage (or damage reduction if that's what you need) to be gained from it.
Higher nightmare levels will level them up faster at least, but going to level 15 for the range increase was still pretty mind-numbing.
You basically need to find the sweet spot where a run takes no more than 10 minutes
They really need to devise an alternative for this.

Giving SDG advice is pointless, the man is literally retarded and would probably be foiled by a childproof lid on a bottle of pills.

You're forgetting all the FOMO shit attached to seasons. Don't participate in the season and you wont be able to progress your 'battle pass' and dress up your big chungus druid in a Hawaiian leaf skirt - that door will forever be closed to you! Better to consoom to be safe.

I'm 57 and comfortably clearing everything in WT3 without issues, including strongholds. How do I get to WT4?
You would not be able to do shit in wt4. Regular enemies would be unkillable. You have to be in the upper 60s and even then I don't think it's worth it unless your character is a god. It's the same shit as wt2. The xp boost isn't worth it until you're able kill everything fast and efficiently. Better off sticking to wt3. I'm close to lvl 70. I'll move up then.

There's a capstone dungeon called Fallen Temple (shows up as yellow on map). Iirc you get a quest for it at some point. You need lvl 60 to use ancestral items from wt4 so if you care about efficiency wait for 59 to try the dungeon. If you want a challenge or to test your build 55+ should be fine on softcore.

I mentioned this earlier but I think the 'seasonal' gameplay really makes more sense when games like these have a real bartering system.

I had never really played D2 as anything but singleplayer or using mods in my youth but tried a season of it in D2:Resurrected about a year ago. It was actually a lot of fun leveling up and trading for chase items. And it taught me a lot about D2's item system and gave me a greater appreciation for it- I thought it was great how so many items had value that I'd never considered before. Since there are things like thriving low-level dueling communities a magic blue item with a lot of sockets, good mods and low-level requirements might fly under the radar for a normal player but be in reality be more valuable than something like an Enigma or Griffon's Eye.

If unique items will never be tradeable in this game then ideally some substitute for charms, or Superior base items that you can use to craft better items would be down the road. Maybe even have crafted items like in D2 and make those tradeable or something. It'd give a use for all of the gems that drop, at least. I'm not counting on it, though.

I'll still probably play the first season, at least sparingly, since I have some IRL buddies to group up with and it's still on par with something like Champions of Norrath or something.

Are you serious? The boss of the capstone dungeon (Elias) is way to difficult for a sub-60 char. I tried it the first time at Lv.63 and was taking way too much damage. Went back at Lv.66 and although I made it, it was still very tough.

You get a quest for the dungeon when you hit Lv.60, if I remember correctly. Worth noting is that all enemies in there are Lv.70.

Yep, iirc there's some armor modifier applied for more extreme level differences. Fuck knows why.
Anyways, doing shit +3-4 levels your current level seems to be the sweet spot for exp.

If you're looking for a challenge, tier 20 nightmare dungeons should give you some (not to metion, level them glyphs) until you're ready for the capstone
I did it at 68 and it felt easy, obviously depends on a bunch of factors.
PvP also gives decent stuff and exp as long as you don't run into some 90+ wanker who wants to play the big guy WT3.

They also did a silly trap for unwitting HC characters at WT4, the lilith echo dungeon is level 70, but the actual fight is at 100.
Nasty surprise.
